“Five stars are not enough, We rented a 26 foot U-Haul and had trouble with the after hours check in , spoke with the main call center about the issue for what seems hours. So we decided to call the dealer at Martina’s on a Sunday and she not only had us in the truck check in but she took time to actually do it from her phone and walk us through the process in less than ten minutes. Ten stars ?”

“When the downtown Uhaul location didn’t have the trailer we needed they sent us to Martina’s Thrift Store. What a lucky break. I wish every business was as friendly and helpful as this place is. Check-in was a breeze, the trailer was quickly hitched to our vehicle and they even assisted me in loading my bike. Plus the country folks running the place kept us smiling and laughing the whole time. This is my go to for Uhaul rentals in Asheville from now on and I highly recommend it.”

“Been on the road for several months. Heading to our next destination. Had an issue with our Demco brake controller. Called and explained my urgency. They said to come on by. Jim had Billy look at it and he was able to determine it was a simple fuse. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to help a traveler! It was really appreciated.”

“Ace is NOT the place: Home Depot is! Especially if you need to get copies made of your house key and your contractor super-glued a cover on the key. 3 keys made by Ace Hardware did NOT work but the 3 made by Richard Osborne, Pro Department Supervisor, work beautifully! The simple task of making a key was complicated by the glued-on cover and it required two employees using snips, pliers, a knife and possibly some special incantations to remove the cover and expose the key to be copied. Richard was friendly, helpful, and thorough in his valiant and successful effort to cut me 3 shiny new keys that all work on my house. Thank you for your perseverance, Richard and Home Depot.”

“I had a great experience with Budget Truck of Asheville today. As a non-driver, I've had difficulty with other companies not wanting to rent to me even with my licensed driver friend present. Kim, the manager, made everything very simple and everything went smoothly with my move. I was on a tight deadline and thanks to her I was able to get everything done. “Renting trucks and changing residences are not my favorite pastimes. Seriously. BUT: We rented a truck from U-Haul Moving and Storage of South Asheville at 3161 Sweeten Creek Road today. Dorey at the front desk was professional, helpful, and engaging. It was immediately clear that she was in it for the customer, and that she knows her stuff. A five-minute consult saved me headaches and some heartache. She moved several of us in and out efficiently, with great customer service. Targeting what we wanted and needed, answering questings, and getting us on our way in a timely fashion. Nice. Thanks Dorey. When returning a rental truck, it feels like it's way past time to get out of the da** thing! When you're done, you're done. I was tired and just ready to get on my way. Several trucks were stacked for cleaning, and I figured I was in for a wait. Not so. This was where Ty stepped in. He was already busy, but I got eye contact from 10 yards away, and a smile that said "I've got your back". He directed me to a place to park and immediately helped me gather my belongings, inquired about the day, and asked whether I had everything I needed. I got a smile. and a "...you're good to go". It was as smooth as parking your own car in your own driveway. Nice. Thanks Ty. I don't do many reviews. I have certainly never done one regarding a rental truck experience. I will wholeheartedly suggest that if you need a truck, visit these folks. They will get you on the road. t”

“I got a phone call from a good buddy who experienced a flat tire on his motorcycle just outside of town at about 6 o’clock in the evening. I called up the U-Haul place on sweeten Creek Road looking for a motorcycle trailer. They told me they had one and I replied that I would be on the way as quickly as possible to pick up the trailer. There were only 15 minutes left until closing time and the staff there were absolutely amazing and making sure that I got the trailer that I needed to go help out my friend. The folks that ran this place came through in a huge way and I was able to get my buddy his wife and their motorcycle back to their house before the sunset that night. Five stars to the crew at the U-Haul on sweeten Creek Road 10 out of 10 would recommend and will certainly go back there for any future needs! thank you again all so much!!”

“I went in to find an LED light bulb and we (me and the store manager) couldn't find it anywhere, so I just decided to get a different kind which was sitting above a price tag of $13. I went to self checkout, and it rang up for $54, so I was confused on why. Me and the lady working self checkout went back to the light section to see what happened, and apparently it was placed above the wrong tag which wasn't even their fault, and they gave it to me for $13! Being nice to the employees can make all the difference at places even though they probably would've done that anyways :) Thanks guys!!!”

“The good/great - I rented a cheap truck to move items that I wouldn't been able to move otherwise. What more do I want for $100?!Yes it is confusing to go into the mall for car rental services when it isn't clearly stated. Yes the lot to the trucks is hidden out behind the mall. No they are not abundantly staff. Yes the staff can be curt.All I can say is 2022 doesn't look to be shaping up to provide any more willing labor than 2021. Good luck to all those unsatisfied customers who don't want to pay more for a truck, but want a truck and to get pampered at the same time.”

“I was blown away by how incredible my experience was! The woman who helped me (I believe her name was Jennifer, but I could be wrong) was one of, if not the most, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly people I've ever met. I was preparing to tow a u-haul trailer from NC to WA and had never towed anything before - she went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, gave me great advice, and really made sure that I felt comfortable and taken care of. I hope U-Haul knows how amazing she is, because she was the absolute best and I feel lucky to have been helped by her.”
