I took my car to multiple places to fix a problem with handling. They all charged me an arm and a leg and didn't even fix the problem. When I took my car here, they fixed the issue quickly and for a reasonable price. The guys at the desk listened to me and were helpful and kind. I had a great experience!

I've never heard of a shop that charges for diagnostics and then refuses to service the vehicle, but this shop does. It cost me almost $300 to pick up a car that they refused to work on. Absolutely crazy that it is legal to charge someone and then refuse to work on the car because you "lack the skills and tools" to do so according to the guy who wouldn't give me my car back until he was paid. BEWARE.

These guys are seriously awesome! They text you photos of issues they find and a web page where you can approve the fixes before hand. They also text all the test results for stuff like the battery and inspection. I've always felt blind when a mechanic says that a valve cover is broken it'll cost X to fix, but this Meineke sends a photo of the cracked piece!

I got my tires rotated and as they were checking the pressure they also found a nail in my tire and patched it up quick. Very good customer service.

Matt was amazing; helpful and friendly. I would have had a better experience if the Patton Ave site had put the car up on the lift briefly on Saturday when I first came in and ordered the muffler, rather than just making me a Weds appointment at the south site. It would have saved me a day.Service: Exhaust

I always receive great service every time I bring my car here. I’ve been coming here for the past few years after searching for a reasonably priced dependable car service establishment. The staff is always friendly and the wait times are never long.Services: Auto battery replacement

This place is my first stop for most (possibly all) of my serious vehicle issues that come up in my work vehicles. I am usually able to bring vehicles in without an appointment, tell them what the issue is, and they are able to get my vehicle quickly in and get it checked before the end of the day. Meineke will then send me a report on the issues that I ask them to check and sometime other issues that came up during the initial check. I do have lot of old work vehicles so I am kind of happy that they are able find other issues and ask for my final say on what I want to do.After they have have approval to do repairs on my vehicle, they are relatively quick to get the repairs done. They have my vehicle ready to hit the road quicker than what I expect. My work vehicles are needed on very short notice most days so I am happy that Meineke can get my work vehicles in and out quickly and do good job on the repairs.Even if they are unable to do repairs, they sometimes give some recommendations other shops that can take on the repairs. All in all for me, Meineke has some great people that do some great work in very quick manner.

This is my new go to oil change people. I'm very particular about the the oil, filter and manual transmission gear oil that I put in my vehicle. Their response to my bringing my own specialty products was no problem, we have a number of customers that do that. Their mechanic Dave did the work in a a very efficient and professional manner. Thanks for a good job guys!Services: Transmission

So we took our SUV to this place back in April because it didn’t pass inspection and the engine light was on. They did a diagnostic and it was showing codes for catalytic converter problems. Then they recommended changing the spark plugs and o2 sensors out, and drive the vehicle for a while after to see if the engine light turns off. We trusted them and went with they’re recommendation. It was around $800 to have that work done. Within less then a month of getting our vehicle back the car died. Had towed back to them and they said the engine had no oil in it and the engine was seized. They said we needed a new engine and it would be around $9,000. We had a 7,500 mile oil change completed at Speedee’s in late January. At this point, we decided to have it taken to another mechanic shop to have a rebuilt engine put in for less. It would be around $6,000. Today we received a call from the mechanic saying that the reason the engine seized was because the catalytic converter was so bad it had crumbled into the exhaust system and caused a total blockage. He also said the spark plugs and o2 sensors didn’t have anything to do with the catalytic converter codes. Now we have to have the catalytic converter and exhaust system replaced.Contacted them in response to the “Owner’s” reply to this review. There was no offer to make things right. HIGHLY recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else for repairs.

I want to express my extreme frustration with this shop. I called in and booked an appointment for 3pm for a very routine and easy request - a simple tire rotation. I was quoted $17. Upon arrival I was told they were running behind by about 30 minutes. After waiting almost an hour and a half my car finally pulled in. I was then notified while pulling the wheels and tires off the technician broke 4 studs off and to put them back on I would be charged for new studs and lug nuts along with labor. At this point I couldn’t say no to their ridiculous price because if I wanted it to be done somewhere else it would have to be towed. The technician mentioned “whoever put these wheels on didn’t know what they were doing and put them on too tight”. My dad is mechanic of over 30 years and was the one who put these on - so I had doubts that it was his incompetence. In fact, for the past 5 years of owning this car - we’ve rotated the tires together and never had an issue with studs. My $17 quote quickly turned into a $160 charge for a tire rotation. I hesitantly paid for the service after being there for 3 hours because, at this point I just wanted to leave. No working with me on price after being there so long, no trying to apologize for the extra $140 charge on top of my original quote. This isn’t the worst part. After driving home - I get about a mile from my house when I hear an awful sound from my back brakes. I pulled over only to find the caliper easily moving and barely hanging on for dear life. I could move the caliper on and off of the rotor easily with my finger. I anxiously tried calling only to be directed to report it to corporate and not the actual shop location. I’d love assistance from the shop. My car now has to be towed to fix (hopefully the caliper, braking system, rotors and rims are ok since the caliper was grinding on the inner rim) - all after waiting 3 hours and paying $160 for a $17 quoted directional tire rotation. I’ve never dealt with a shop that was this negligent and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at this point.Services: Tires

Matt was awesome. My coolant reservoir decided to leak out all my coolant and not seal around 4:40pm on a Friday right when most places are closing up for the weekend. I was 4 hours from home visiting Asheville myself, so this was less than ideal. I called a couple places that were booked Saturday, then got Matt at this Meineke location. He was super friendly and accommodated me even though this was last minute and his Saturday was booked. I also drive a Saab, which isn't made anymore, so mechanics often turn me away. He and his team had the parts ordered, delivered, and my car repaired the next afternoon. While it wasn't the relaxing weekend I wanted, it could have been a nightmare and I could still be stranded in Asheville right now. This is a solid place that actually has some compassion along will skill. Thanks guys. You are appreciated ?

*DONT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE*If I could give negative stars I would, took my car in for an inspection. Before I even sat in the waiting room the manager informs me there was a nail in the sidewall of my tire so they couldn't pass the vehicle for the inspection "fine no big deal" they noticed this before they did anything else with the inspection. Then when I asked for my keys and registration so I could leave to get my tire replaced they said I owed them $23, I refused to pay because they literally did nothing to my vehicle. They put my car on the lift for 5 seconds seen the nail then failed my inspection and put the car in the parking lot. Then they proceeded to call the police because I felt like they scammed me. Rude manager and front office women with anger issues. Take your vehicle somewhere else, don't get scammed like me.

Took our 2009 Subaru Legacy in because of a exhaust heat shield rattling noise. I was anticipating having to replace the heat shield. After their inspection, Matt the service manager told me all I needed was a little welding on some of the lose heat shields, which they did in a very timely manner. They charged me a very inexpensive charge. The heat shield has stopped rattling. I will definitely return if I have any repair needs for the old subaru. Thanks again to Matt and his crew.
