Moved to Asheville in 2013 and looked for a stylist for almost a year. Ayse has been handling my hair needs since. This place is luxurious and relaxing. Her expertise with curly hair and non-toxic hair products (INCLUDING COLOR) is top notch. I highly suggest the stylist here.

I first met Ayse nine years ago after researching curly hair experts in the Asheville area. I was 34 years old and had NEVER had my hair cut, so I wanted someone skilled and experienced! I found Ayse through the Ouidad New York website and have been so grateful ever since! Ayse, from the first time we met, was so gentle in spirit and has made every cut since, something to look forward to! The atmosphere in Rootz is modern, but laid back. The music is groovy and relaxing, no matter your taste in musical genre. Ayse has a true creative genius in seeing my curl pattern, head shape, and all other variables and like an artist, makes my hair look beautiful every time!
