Amy is the best stylist and a master of color. My hair has never looked this good, I get compliments all the time. She really listens to what you want and can give suggestions to make it even better! The amount of time and attention given to each client is unlike anywhere else. I’ve never felt like she’s rushed through what she’s doing or trying to get as many people in and out as possible. (which was a huge problem at the last salon I was going to)
I love the whole atmosphere of the salon, it’s always calm and relaxing. I walk out loving my hair and feeling refreshed every time.

Went to see Amy E. twice. No more. Seems like she may be a talented stylist based on other reviews but she was hyper focused on “upselling” and coming up with any excuse to charge more. She came off desperate and more concerned about that $ than listening. Both of my colors and cuts were average to fair in quality but unbelievably expensive. I understand that she does a lot of special events like weddings,elopements, etc so maybe she doesn’t have a good sense of what she should charge regular clients. If you want a stylist who you see regularly and not be charged an arm and a leg for an average experience - avoid this stylist. There’s at least a dozen high end salons in the area where you can drop $300-$400 for an amazing cut and color. Don’t go here. I wish I could rate just the stylist and not the salon since I only tried her. But hopefully others will read this and at least avoid Amy E.

Amy is great, I just tell her to make it look good, and she does. But she does put product in my hair,that then gets in my hat. But that’s a small price to pay to have the best hair in Asheville.

Amy is an incredible hair stylist, and I was fortunate to work with her for my wedding hair look. Highly knowledgeable and creative, she turned braids, extensions, and flowers into a stunning bridal hair masterpiece. If you have a few ideas about what you want your wedding hair to look like, I strongly recommend working with Amy to explore what works best for you. She’s absolutely wonderful to collaborate with, is a true artist, and created a caring, calm environment every step of the way. Amy is absolutely amazing. She did mine and my sisters hair for my wedding and I couldn't have imagined it more perfect. I spent weeks trying to find someone who did real up-do's, not just curls put into a standard bun, and then somehow found Amy's instagram @amyelizabethsnips which has a complete portfolio of her incredible work. I love this place and I love Amy. When I started going to her a couple of years ago, my hair was in bad shape to say the least. I was thrilled when she was able to “fix” all the problems I had with my hair. I go to her every three weeks and I’ve never left unhappy. My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and I’m so thankful she was recommended to me by a friend. She listens to what I want and gives the best advice. She’s the BEST!! AE studios is the only place my husband, my children and I go for our hair! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and I feel amazing every time I leave. Leslie has helped me try out lots of different colors on my hair, but always makes sure I pick the healthiest options for it. I appreciate the patience she has for my extra thick hair, that she always takes the time to style just right. She and the rest of the ladies at AE studios have lots of talent and passion for their work—and it shows! Leslie also did my wedding hair and it was everything I had hoped for! It was affordable, and she was able to do exactly what I had asked for. She also helped with my bridesmaids hair, and everything was picture perfect. I highly recommend AE Studios!

Amy did my and my daughter’s hair for my wedding and was an absolute dream to work with. I knew by seeing her work on Instagram that she would be able to create the vision I wanted for my special day and I wasn’t disappointed. From the very first consultation to right before I walked down the aisle, she made sure I felt beautiful and comfortable with every process. She was so patient and sweet with my little girl, who has a head full of long curls, and truly made her feel like a princess too. Amy and her artistry are one of a kind and I have highly recommended her to anyone that I can!

Amy did my hair for my wedding last September. I have always struggled with my hair not wanting to hold curl and I tend to be bit insecure about my hair. I didn’t have much of a vision (yet was still very picky) but Amy somehow knew exactly what I wanted. Not only that but I came to her last minute, she was already booked for another wedding but woke up at 6 AM to do my hair. She gave me the most beautiful updo that lasted all day and Stayed with me until I walked down the isle. She went above and beyond being a hairstylist. She was soo kind and professional. I had never had an experience with a vendor like this. I have since my wedding recommended her to many of my friends. It takes a special gift to be so talented but also to know your clients needs to well. If you are on the fence about who to book for your wedding, event, or just as your go to stylist Amy and her team are a must! It’s more than just styling hair. Amy is absolutely amazing. She did my hair for a photoshoot and most recently my wedding and she turned my hair dreams into reality!! I sent her a few inspiration photo's and we went over what I liked and didn't like about each one. Amy is so talented and professional and I will definitely be using her for future events!!
