I have been with UNC since 2009. Every doctor I’ve had is excellent. I have found doctors who really care about me as a person not just a medical diagnosis, and they do that very well too. They have run extensive testing to address my health issues. It’s amazing that they look into every problem I have. So I have specialists, and exams, and studies, and tests, all just to help me alive & healthy. I know they wish my diet was better and that I exercised more. They even sent me to Rex for exercise & nutrition. (Be careful what you tell them or they’ll have you on a diet that doesn’t include a large intake of ice cream every night).
I have never felt their practice was in it for the money. When I went through a rough patch, they didn’t charge me, and even helped find resources and assistance. They are NOT about the money. I have always had wonderful care. I have even tried to get my friends from rural NC to come to UNC. That’s how good they are. We’re so lucky to have university hospitals nearby.
But, like everyone else, I do have one complaint. My only gripe @recently, appointments are a little ways out, (there seems to be a lot of Teslas in the parking lot), I guess more people are finding out how truly awesome they are. Keep doing what you’re doing. I know, I know, I have lots of appointments to schedule, I’ll get in touch soon.

Support staff are great. Physicians very ‘hands off’ just endlessly refer, nothing gets resolved, your just shuffled off to another long, expensive line elsewhere. More health administration than health care. Typical of most places. Not good enough.

Every irresponsible staff or doctor, I have to reach 5 times to get my child's physicals and immunization records. They said they will keep ready after my visit for the next day. They don’t answer calls, and forward to call center. And we never receive an answers for our call. I have to visit the center for 4 times to get reports, Never had such bad experience. Waste of time.

Since switching to UNC apex, my health has improved a LOT ! The team of doctors and physicians assistants at the apex clinic are wonderful!. They take the time to listen , are very respectful ,professional and thorough

Recently my son was seen by Sarah Heminger who is amazing and very kind , she recommended a few things to help my son feel better & it worked like a charm ! My husband and son see Dr Springfield, he’s absolutely fantastic. The 2 lovely ladies at the lab are great and last but not the least The ladies at the front desk , Melissa and Amy are really sweet and always a pleasure to talk to, always greet everyone with a smile .
Every visit has been a positive experience be it lab or dr visit , never any issues with appt availability or billing either . When I called earlier today to see if there was any availability to have my son seen for a knee injury, i was able to get an appt with his dr within a couple hours !
I highly recommend them.

Took a bit to find an excellent PCP. Once you find them things start to improve that you had given up on. After a few tries, I found such a doctor here. Dr. Starr is invested in her patient's quality of life. That’s a rare find for me. The front desk staff have always been exemplary. The offices are lovely and Teresa in the lab is a whiz.

We had a very bad experience at this UNC clinic, and never returning again to any UNC because of this experience. Watch out, they cover up, only after after your money, and treatment is also very poor. The staff is incapable of understanding patient needs, and proper medical treatment and procedures. Worst experience with Jill A. Schaeffer, MD.I spoke to the head of this clinic (in customer relations) to report the bad experience, but this lady (possibly the owner/director of this clinic) presented even a inaccurate one-sided story, defending her position and her clinic. Never gave me a copy of transcript about what actions will be taken. She told me VP above has visibility and that's how she got involved, but guess what she will never tell her VP that her staff screwed up. SHAME SHAME! They are greedy business making clinic ONLY.

Craig Jerome is very thorough, always listens and responds very quickly to requests through the portal as well as in person. Amy at reception is the best, she is so helpful and is always smiling.

Worst experience ever. cancelled my appointment twice within 24 hours and expected me to reschedule to a different doctor with 3 months of waiting period. I would give a negative star if possible.

Do not go here! The doctor was literally so scared to do the test. He stayed away and barely looked at my throat. According to him everything was hunky dory.and my eye infection shows up by evening! I was not given anything inspite of me tell him that I was feeling rotten! Told him both my kids had ear infection reassured him Covid test was negative! All I was offered was a prescription strength cough syrups cause I know it would not help with what I was going through ( post 6 hrs my eye infection shows up I doubt the cough syrup which was magnanimously offered would have helped!) so frustrating. Before this particular doc at this practice I was seeing someone else equally incompetent and was happy to know she left. Then I see this dude and now I can safely say all hope is lost and do not go to this practice!!!

Completely incompetent staff from nurses to "doctors". The latest: Took a half day off work to get a second dose vaccine for my son. After 30 minutes, the nurse calls us by the wrong name, and confusing says he is too early to get the second dose, after they are the ones that set the appointment. O could go on about previous experiences, but there is limited space here.
