I am super impressed by this place! We have a 2007 Honda Accord that needed some work to pass inspection. I called tbem and they worked me in to quickly (and cost effectively) fix issues. They are friendly, flexible and helpful. Will definitely be using them in the future!

I have previously had work done on one of my own cars here, and it was a great experience! Sad to say this is no longer the case. Apparently the lack of service, knowledge, and customer care is now lacking under new ownership (so I've been told). I took in my daughter's car for a misfire on cylinder 3. Based on my google knowledge figured it was spark plus or coilover.
The car then sat in the same spot for two weeks so I had to go in and ask for an update. They "didn't know why I never got a quote and they've tried to call me". They told me it could potentially need a new engine, or at the least a lot of work. They also said they could not give me an estimate because the "sparkplug was stripped" and had to be drilled out, re-tapped, debris removed, etc..... and that can take time. Making no promises that this would fix the car, but if it did it needed a new heater coil as well as a few other things, stating again that none of it may work and it could need the new engine. They then stated they could get a used engine for $600-$800 and labor would be about $3000, but they would get me an estimate for this, which I never received.
Fast forward another 2+ weeks and still nothing so I had to call again. I pass this place every day and the car had still not moved from the original parking spot from when I dropped it off (one month ago). He said he couldn't find a used engine but they can get a new one for $4000 plus labor. I presume I was talking to the new owner. I declined the new engine and just asked to do what you have to in order to get it running reliably and able to pass an inspection. He stated no problem he would work to have it done when I get back.
I called on my last day of vacation because I had received no updates, estimates. etc... during this call he stated his guy has been working on it and parts are ordered. It should be done by Friday. I agreed to whatever they had to do to repair the car. Mind you this is now 5 weeks of nothing, but what do i know. I can only change oil and tires.
I went by that Friday and the car had still not moved, and from the amount of dirt and dust that had collected on the car it was apparent it never moved at all. The amount of filth on the door handle alone was evidence it has never even opened the door, let alone look at the problem. I walked in the office and asked for my keys back because it has not been touched. The new owner then explained he had parts ordered and it could be done quickly. I declined and he gave me my keys without any questions or a bill for services rendered. (clearly they knew nothing was done).
I then called a local shop that I had worked with several times in the past (TEN TEN AUTO). They got me in by the following Tuesday, and I had an estimate in 1 hour and the work was done within 5 hours. Guess what it needed.... new spark plugs, and that is all. No mention of a stripped plug or anything. It's driving great, and they saved me thousands of dollars. I can only assume one of two things about the new management of Salem Street Car Care Center. 1) They don't know what they are doing - or - 2) They were scamming me because I don't know enough about cars to know any better.
Avoid this place at all costs... and visit TEN TEN AUTO just across town!

I have recently moved to North Carolina, and found these guys from a recommendation. I can say that I always leave happy with my mini coupe being taken care of. They go the extra mile to ensure their customers are happy. Chris which usually works on my car always and I mean always cleans my windshield. Dwight always follows up days after to make sure Im satisfied. I really recommend these guys and I truly appreciate all your hard work. Thank you for being so kind and great.

Every time I bring my car in for a checkup or repair, Dwight and his mechanics always do a phenomenal job. My one vehicle has over 210k miles on it now with no issues & that’s a testament to their work. I moved up from Florida and found their work priced fairly compared to any mechanic or dealer I’ve dealt with in Florida. After price checking on multiple occasions what my mechanic in Florida would charge vs Salem Street Car Care Center, my guy in Florida was always higher on his labor and parts. I will continue recommend this place to everyone I meet.

I took my car here based on the good reviews but have had nothing but bad experiences for the 3 times I did. After paying a wild amount of money just to put band aids on my issues and not end up fixing them I will not be taking my car here anymore, especially after being charged for services that were not even performed. Just another mechanic that takes advantage of people who don't know about cars....

I had the worst experience at this auto shop! I went in because my temperature light was on, and it turned off after just 10 minutes, I decided to get it checked out. Initially, they quoted me $60 for the diagnosis, but later they tacked on extra charges, saying it could be anywhere from $70 to $120 including everything. But guess what? I ended up getting charged a whopping $144, claiming it was for labor, parts, tax, etc. I have no idea what kind of inspection they did because they didn't even bother explaining it to me properly. It felt like a total scam! I don't trust this place at all, despite the good reviews it has. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague. There are much better options out there for car diagnosis and repairs.

Dwight and his team took care of our family van. I made an appointment in advance and they exceeded my service level expectations on time, value and even when busy they were calm and took the time to ask me how my day was. I highly recommend them to take care of your car. My recommendation is to set up an appointment in advance, if you do drop off same day they can be very busy which is a sign of a good healthy business. I have been going to this shop for more than 8 years (I haven't been there in a couple years because we bought a new vehicle on Dwight's recommendation) God Bless!
