Started with sciatica last fall which ended up turning into a herniated disc with a pinched nerve. I worked with Taryn prior to and after the pain worsened due to the nerve compression; as my condition changed she was able to adjust our sessions accordingly and was very helpful in helping us figure out what to do next. Ended up having a laminectomy and returned here for a time after to hopefully start working toward "normal" again.Shout-out to Corey and Arnold as well (and Cara!); the whole group here has great energy. It made being in pain a lot more bearable, having therapists who have seen this and know what to do plus are engaging to more or less help distract from the current situation. They were all a huge help during the time of what was probably the worst pain in my life; therapy helped get me out the door because I wanted to be there and get better. Great motivation.

Currently attending physical therapy at PIVOT, and I’d highly recommend Corey. Everyone in the office has been extremely kind and help, but my personal experience and review will reflect Corey, as he is my current physical therapist. He has thoroughly listened during each appointment to understand my pain and/or progress on a day to day basis since my condition tends to cause a lot of localized and radiating pain. In addition to exercises modified to my level to help strengthen the affected areas of my body, Corey also uses or recommends additional treatments for pain relief and management. I very thankful that he shares his knowledge of the purpose of each thing he suggests doing because I like to know what’s going on and how it is useful. I’m also grateful that he’s just in general a kind and humorous person because let’s be real, pain hurts and a laugh is a good thing.Need PT? Go see Corey or his peers at PIVOT.

The therapists here are amazing! We’ve seen Corey, Taryn and Arnold. They have helped us through a number of issues and are always willing to work us into their busy schedules. My son recently had an ankle injury and thought his athletic career was over but they got him fixed up just in time for his regional and state tournaments. Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly, couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I want to highly recommend Pivot PT in Apex. I got to PT later than I should for an ankle injury. Thanks to Taryn’s treatments and recommended exercises, I was already walking better with less pain after 2 weeks. I have kept up with exercises and therapy, and actually have long periods without pain. I will definitely use Taryn and Pivot for any future needs.

I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with the Pivot Appointment Scheduling service, especially following my third session when attempting to arrange the fourth. Despite initial challenges with availability, I did manage to secure an appointment on Thursday. Unfortunately, a scheduling error occurred, placing me on January 11th instead of January 4th and scheduling me for the week after, rather than the following week.On the day of the appointment, having already missed two sessions at 8 am, I received a call from the front staff explaining the need to cancel due to their PT's son falling ill. While I empathized with the situation, the rescheduling to a completely different time within my window caused additional inconvenience, especially considering I had already arranged work coverage. Despite making multiple requests for accommodation, the front staff insisted it was not possible. What particularly frustrated me was the apparent lack of concern for patients. Cancelling an appointment with less than two hours' notice seems like an unfavorable policy. Moreover, I find it perplexing that Pivot charges patients for cancellations made within 24 hours. This raises questions about the fairness of their policies.I've communicated with the front staff on numerous occasions regarding missed sessions due to scheduling errors on their part. It has been disheartening to witness the lack of proactive planning when emergencies arise.PT Taryn repeatedly emphasized completing at least 5 sessions before expecting improvement. If that is the case, she and her front staff should ensure that patients receive their appointments without any cancellations. Patients seek relief from pain when approaching your service, not to hear apologies. My experience with Pivot Appointment Scheduling has been disappointing, marked by scheduling issues, a lack of flexibility, and a seemingly indifferent attitude towards patient needs. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this place to others until there are improvements in their scheduling system and a more patient-centric approach is adopted.
