We have been going to Lake Pine for about four years now. We could not be happier with the care and love they provide. Dr. Williams and all of the staff are so attentive and loving. Highly recommend Lake Pine for your furry family member. We love them!

We used to have an amazing experience every time we came here for our two dogs, but unfortunately, someone who works the front desk was so incredibly rude to use on two occasions that it made me switch vets fast. I don't remember her name, this happened back in November 2023 when my dog came in to see the vet on an urgent appointment due to days of vomiting and diarrhea, and not drinking or holding any liquid. We were so incredibly scared because this has never happened before. The Dr. gave my dog Cerenia and told me that she should not vomit anymore, and if she does, something is seriously wrong and we would need to do an x-ray. Hours go by, and then she vomits a lot. I immediately called and the person who answered the phone had 0 empathy and was extremely cold. She told me that the dr said it's fine, and to just "wait it out". I was just told hours ago, the complete opposite. I asked if I should take her to an emergency vet, and she said "that's up to you, but there's nothing we can do about it". again, no compassion at all and was extremely unhelpful in a time where you would need the most guidance from a trusted provider in a situation scary. We followed our gut and ignored what she said bc she tried to downplay a lot by saying that we probably fed her too soon and that she's probably fine. It turns out she had a foreign object on her small intestine and barely made it to surgery due to high demand, low availability, and it being a couple days before thanksgiving. She had to spend 3 nights in the hospital at blue pearl, and we were so thankful that we followed our intuition. We worry about would have happened if we hadn't taken her to the emergency vet that night due to there being little to no options for surgery again because of thanksgiving. I called back to schedule an appointment for a check up because that is what I was told to do by Blue Pearl to make sure her stitches were healing okay, and the same lady answered the phone. I told her what happened, and she once again could not care less. 0 compassion or care. I ended up calling back to cancel the appointment and she sounded very angry towards me over the phone, I was glad to never have to deal with her ever again.I switched vets because I needed the guidance and expertise from professionals in a scary situation and was failed. The doctor should have ordered for an x-ray to be done the second they heard she was throwing up on cerenia. The front desk lady should find a different career altogether, she was incredibly rude and doesn't seem to be capable of having any empathy.I apologize for the long review, but I do think this is important to share, I would want to know this information in the case a real emergency happens with my beloved pet.Lake Pine Animal, thank you for your time, but this was something I could not overlook. 2 stars because the non scary/urgent appointments in the past were fine.

Although it started off as a blessing, this vet has caused so much financial struggles in our family, which has now developed into a full-blown mental health breakdown. Let me explain:Firstly, the staff's friendliness at Lake Pine Animal Hospital is commendable for the most part. They have been consistently warm and welcoming during my visits, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, there were a couple of instances that left me disappointed. I experienced repeated calls during work without voicemails, which became inconvenient. Additionally, there was one vet tech who seemed less than helpful and rude during one visit. One positive note, the vet did detect an ear infection that we were unaware of, showcasing their expertise in diagnosing issues. My recent experience with the spaying of my new cat, however, was less than satisfactory. To start, they originally assumed we wanted a microchip during the surgery which we were adamant about NOT getting. Come surgery day, they had in their notes that we wanted it and once again, we had to explain that we didn't want it. Their lack of note taking and concern for the customers' requests is frustrating. We weren't offered a quote for the surgery at any point in time during the appointment scheduling, appointment reminder, and appointment drop-off. The cost of the spay was significantly higher than my previous experiences (I've spayed 6 animals previous), and the communication post-surgery was lacking. I responded to an email regarding my cat's status after surgery, seeking advice on her behavior, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response. This lack of communication and actual concern for pet parents proves that the "follow up" emails are automatic, and responses are ignored. What deeply concerned me was that a few days after the surgery, my cat developed an infection due to a reaction to the stitches. Despite returning to the vet, there was no acknowledgement of the situation, and we were charged for a shot. The suggested warm washcloth method proved ineffective, and my cat was in significant pain.Returning to the vet a second time, we were charged again for what seemed to be a misdiagnosis and a lack of concern for our pet's well-being. The most disheartening part was the absence of any financial compensation. We were sent home with gauze and pills, leaving us feeling financially burdened by something that could have been prevented if the vet staff would have taken a few minutes to respond to one email from a concerned pet parent. The exorbitant costs incurred during this ordeal have left me questioning the value of the services provided. While I understand that veterinary care comes with a price, I cannot help but feel that the charges were excessive, especially given the circumstances. If you take anything from this review, understand you will be price gouged and will receive subpar care for your furry family members. I don't understand how they have 4.9 stars at the time of this review. I hope they take this review into consideration and treat future pets and pet parents with more kindness than they have me and my family.

Lake Pine has been our go-to vet for my dog, Bentley, since he was just 2 months old. Bentley had pretty bad anxiety about about going to the vet, but everyone we interacted with at the office (front desk, vets and vet techs) always went above and beyond to be kind and helpful! Bentley recently was diagnosed with cancer and we lost him a few weeks ago, but Lake Pine has been incredible through everything. They gave us resources to help us understand our options after his diagnosis, and when we lost him, their team sent us a handwritten card with condolences. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing group, thank you so much for everything <3

I cannot express the depth of gratitude I feel for the incredible care and compassion Dr. Ross and all the staff showed to our family during such a difficult time. The empathy and understanding they provided made saying goodbye a little more bearable. The comfortable room and the opportunity to say our final goodbyes meant the world to me. My heart aches from losing Harlee, but the kindness made this painful experience a bit more manageable. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.

Today November 30th, I am updating my experience with Lake Pine Animal Hospital from 3 stars to 5. They called me to address my concerns. Expressed that they are interested in doing better. We talked about my concerns. I put my review originally because i was mad with them for fees that were not discussed. None of us are perfect, but when having our animals seen by a veterinarian, we do need to know the cost of things as these days , medical care can be very expensive . We did talk about my experience and I was offered a resolution to make things right . That is really all that matters. You have won me over again! That is the way things should be done! Thank you very much for caring about my experience!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and looked well kept. Veterinarians and assistants were very knowledgeable, informative, friendly and caring. They took the time to listen and to give their advice and thoughts. This place is very pet friendly and caring! I am very happy with my decision to change to Lake Pine Animal Hospital.

Since we moved here five years ago, my pet has been seen at Lake Pine Animal Hospital. The staff, technicians, and doctors have all been wonderful to interact with. Most recently my pet became ill and I was forced with the hard and painful decision of having to let her go. Dr. Araba was so caring for both my pet and me. She truly respected our wishes and supported us through this time, and I wanted to let her and the staff know how very much they have been appreciated throughout the years. You would be hard-pressed to find a more caring and compassionate animal hospital.

Just moved to the area from out of state and had a coworker recommend lake pine animal hospital. They got us in for a meet & greet visit super fast, and it was an amazing experience. The girls at the desk were so sweet and welcoming. The vet listened to all my questions and was very informative. My dog loved the vet and vet tech who gave her lots of love and treats. They checked us out in the room which I loved and I look forward to seeing them again soon!

My dog had an eye ulcer and they were able to fit me in the same day. I called several different places, they either didn’t take new patients or didn’t have any availability. I’m so grateful for them!P.S..he is feeling much better now ?

We made the best decision ever by switching to Lake Pine! ? After a disappointing experience with our previous vet, we found a gem in Lake Pine Animal Hospital. Sadly, our beloved dog Zelda's health took a downturn not long after the switch. ? But Dr. Smith and the entire Lake Pine team stepped up with unwavering professionalism, kindness, and support during this tough time. ?⚕️?⚕️ We can't express how grateful we are for their amazing care. We'll definitely keep trusting them with our other dog and any future furry family members! ?❤️? #LakePineCares

I have absolutely loved working with Lake Pine Animal Hospital! I recently adopted a 6 year old cat and went in for a checkup, annual shots, as well as a Jr. Early Detection Screening. They took so much care from setting up the appointment on the phone to helping inform me and ensuring that she is 100% healthy and happy. They were wonderful in making me and Lilac feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment from the Doctor to the office staff and nurses we felt happy and comfortable the whole time! This is not like any other vet, Lilac was happy getting treats and pets through the entire appointment and didn’t even flinch her for her shots. They get back to me so quickly over email/phone and I received her results super quickly. I cannot wait to work them as my life long vet and bring all my pets here. I highly recommend Lake Pine Animal Hospital!! Best Vet in the Cary/Apex area 100%

I bring my cat Sammy here and she always gets the very best of care. All of the doctors are amazing and they take time to explain everything thoroughly. They never make you feel you’re being rushed. The technicians are top notch and so very sweet. I’m so happy to have such a wonderful pet hospital so close. Thanks to the staff for taking such great care of Sammy!

We originally went to Lake Pine in 2020 when we first got our cat Zippy. The prices were a little high so we went somewhere else the following year. This year we came back because Lake Pine Cares! The staff is amazing. The environment is clean. The doctors are thorough. The are quick to respond and assist. Zippy was vomiting lots over 24 hours and we called them and they helped immediately. The prices were absolutely fair for all the work we had to have done for him and I would 10/10 recommend Lake Pine to anyone moving forward.
