Dr. Chao is thorough, highly knowledgable, patient, and kind in providing care. He handled a complex issue with great skill and attentiveness. While expressing my concerns and the pertinent details of my medical history he truly cared and made me feel heard. He also followed up personally. Thank you Dr. Chao!

Dr Shazia Obeid is rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Dosnt care about health or wellbeing. She's a lazy doctor

Wow, the reviews on this place are wild compared to the experience I had. This location is very clean and feels very safe. The staff is all incredibly kind and welcoming from the welcome desk to the nurses and doctors. When it came to treatment, the staff here listened to my needs and offered amazing advice and options. Without going into much detail, I can positively say Dr. Jessica May has significantly helped me. I'm very grateful for my experience here, and absolutely recommend them if you're looking for a general practice. Shoutout once again to the amazing staff for being wonderful!

The worst experience we ever had. The office doesn't know how to bill correctly. My husband did his annual physical there, and had his blood draw the next day (after confirming that still goes into his physical exam tests with the doctor). Then we kept receiving bills for the lab work after calling the office and were PROMISED this would be fixed on their side. And we just found out they sent this bill to debt collector. This is ridiculous! We found out that we're not the only case with Duke health (we are really disappointed as we chose this office trusting Duke's reputation). Be aware of the billing issue, and find a better office for your PCP!

AVOID !! AVOID !! AVOID !! Definitely read prior reviews regarding errors in billing codes and unnecessary tendency toward referral to urgent care. This practice needs a comprehensive utilization review.

Worst healthcare experience in more than a decade. Ever hear of the Hippocratic Oath? They haven't. I came in at 8AM with advanced cellulitis on my lower right leg. She took a minute to look at it, said there was nothing she could do, and referred me to "any" urgent care that offered intravenous antibiotics. So with ZERO treatment, or help to FIND an urgent care that offers this, I left and started driving around with my leg in bad shape. After four stops at urgent care's that said they didn't offer it, I was told to go to the Apex ER. There they drained it and gave me oral antibiotics, which is EXACTLY WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE AT MY FIRST STOP. Now I'm facing MASSIVELY increased costs for a service that should have been handled by you, my brand new primary care doctor, this was my FIRST visit to this practice. Duke, you need to train your doctors NOT to give up on patients and send them out to "find" an urgent care. You should teach doc's to HELP with referrals, and in general, PROVIDE CARE. I intend to fight this through my insurance to make sure they're held accountable. Avoid.

Do not go here, I transferred from ny to here and ever since have had problems with this place, they constantly make things harder, my biggest concern being my prescription I've had (for 9 years by the way) is now revoked because this young doctor "doesn't feel comfortable prescribing it because she doesn't know enough about it" so she wants me to make another appt at her location (3 now for my own prescription that I'm just transferring from my old doctors) to come in and for her to recommend me to a sleep specialist (which I've already seen in the past, this is why I'm prescribed what I am) just for me to continue my medication I have had for what is likely longer than she has been practicing. I am self employed so it is hard to get good health insurance and with COVID it was even harder for me, I finally rebounded financially and got my health insurance set up again and she presents me with this bs. Now I have to pay health insurance to pay for expensive doctor visits just to get my medication that I've had for almost a decade. My medication is sleep medication and is the only thing that balances me out, not having it makes my entire life much harder than it has to be. Too long? Doc refuses medication I've had for almost a decade because she's not educated enough on it making my life hell and making me pay money I shouldn't have to pay. Do not go here ever read the reviews

Worst experience. I scheduled a appointment at the end of April. I get a call the day before stating I needed to confirm appointment, but all of sudden it was for Leesville duke. I waited almost two months for this appointment by the way.. I tried calling back multiple times, with no answers. Finally got someone to pick up and they were apologetic about experience. They were going to have someone call me about getting me in, because of the mix up. Waited two days, no calls or email. I call Thursday, and they were not helpful, and I stated I would like to speak to the branch manager. A hour later, I get a call from a disgruntled nurse who was very bashful. She kept explaining that I was a new patient, and it felt like my visit and business wasn't important enough to entertain her time. I got to the point where I said that I am a duke patient and explained how this office and the way they are handling this situation was a joke. Now my appointment is August 3rd. I am suppose to get a call from Eric, and she said he probably won't call you. What a bad misrepresentation of Duke. If they can't even get my appointment right worried how my doctor visit going to be. What a joke, and I know people make mistakes but this is the reason why you own up to the mistake and make it right. I hope someone higher sees this because I want others to know that this shouldn't be happening whether I am new or not. Probably going to switch what a awful experience.

If you are looking for a PCP, start your search here. I've always been a little nervous going to see a physician, but this place is so professional and friendly, it really takes the stress out of it for me. Also, Dr. Angrish is so responsive to any questions I have through the DukeMyChart website. It's nice to know that I have that support there when I need it. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

I absolutely love Duke Primary Apex. My doctor is great, really listens, is open to my ideas and plan of action when appropriate. The team is really nice with quick response to things via Dukemychart. If you're moving to the Apex area or live there, I totally recommend.

I'm so glad I chose Dr Larson at Duke Primary Care as my new primary care doctor! She spent a good amount of time with me during my visit and took the time to address all of my concerns. She is very good at explaining everything and she's super friendly. I didn't feel rushed or judged as I have in the past at other offices.I would highly recommend this office in general. The office itself is clean and bright. Blood work is conveniently done there during the visit and all of the staff I encountered were so welcoming.
