Friendly, well kept barn. Libby is an excellent, highly knowledgeable instructor who is equal parts patient, kind and firm when needed.

This is a very hard review to write because our experience with Apex Equestrian (twin Towers) and Dr Sam Toma was so horrible that it has taken a really long time for us to have the courage to write a review. We lived in Apex N.C a few years ago and met up with Kathy and Jeff Martin who were the trainers at this farm and they had approached us after our horrible dealings with Amy Miles. It wasn't even the trainers that hurt us emotionally and financially as it was Dr Sam Toma himself, the owner of this barn. We had two beautiful horses at his farm and we paid him for eight months to do training and sales. Nothing happened. All they did was charge me for training using their kids and I was paying thousands a month. At one point I was at a show and his horse was in the ring with mine and they instructed the trainer to go off lead so that his horse would win champion and they charged me thousands for the show fees, grooming, trailering you name it. We decided use another barn and move and when we informed them, they would not give us our horses back and hid them from us. Dr Toma told us we needed to give him 7500. or he would not relinquish the horses. My wife was so stressed out she ended up in the hospital. Please do not do business with this barn or Dr Sam Toma. If you are in their barn already, do not buy or sell a horse without being there in front of the client, it is your right to do so. These people they take money off the top before letting you know what your profit is and add their fees twice. Very dishonest barn and owners not too mention the stalls are ancient, small and they spend no money fixing up the place. There are plenty of other barns in the area but do yourself a favor and protect yourself and your interest. Stay involved in all purchases and sales and have them sign a contract to protect yourself.
