Nobody wanted to help they wanted to look at their phones (thank God for the app being able to tell me where I can find things but sad that I didn't have good service inside the building) ? then I got to checkout and asked the lady to call my children over the intercom and she rudely stared at me like I was joking then the rest of check out was very awkward on top of all that she over charged me one drink bc we brought in a drink and I told her this and the ummmm still rang it up .. I only went to this location bc my location closed at 9 tonight from now on I think everyone should drive the extra to go to Monroe or Rockingham bc Albemarle made me all types of frustrated and would not recommend

Do NOT go to this location. They are now 100% self checkout on a Saturday afternoon, which is bad. To make it worse, several of my items required "store login" to enter. I will not come back to this location again.

Store is always nice and clean and organized looking which is always nice when going into a store. Staff is always super friendly and helpful when you need help looking for an item

Processing an online return was quick and simple, but returning the item in-person took way longer. I waited in line to return my item as another customer was getting their returns processed. Two more customers approached the return line behind me, and we all waited about 10 mins. Luckily, more cashiers arrived to process returns. However, instead of helping the customers who have been standing in line for 10 mins, they processed the returns for two people that recently walked in from near the exit. Frustrated, the two people behind me decided to walk past me and stand in line behind the two people that were getting their returns processed by the cashiers, hoping to get their returns processed faster.
At the end of return process with my cashier, I asked her: "Where should a person stand in line to get their returns processed? I want to make sure the next time I come in, I stand in the correct line. I've been standing inside with these two other men, but the people who recently came in got checked out before us." She gave me an uneasy smile and said, "That's a good question. There really isn't one, but it's supposed to be over there," pointing to the exit door, where the other two customers came through.
Dear Lowes: please clearly mark where customers are supposed to go through to stand in line so no one gets cut in line 2 or 4 times, after patiently waiting for 15 mins.
Second issue, please train your staff on how to process returns when they have (1) purchased an online order and (2) paid that online order with an online Lowes e-gift card.
The cashier asked me: "Do you have the credit card you used to purchase the item?" I said, "No, it was with a Lowes e-gift card. The Lowes instructions on the Lowes website said you're supposed to give in-store credit on a Lowes gift card."
The cashier said, "We don't do in-store credit." She then turned to her colleague at the cashier stand beside her and asked how to process my return. And the other cashier said: "You're supposed to give in-store credit and put it on a Lowes gift card."
Upon this, the cashier turned to me and said, "Sorry, I just wanted to double-check." I said "no worries" and she finished my return.
With all this to say, whoever is the manager that oversees Returns at Lowes Albemarle, please read this review and offer more guidance for your staff and include more signage around (1) where to stand in line for returns and (2) how cashiers should process returns.
Other than that, I appreciate how clean this Lowes is, love the lockers to quickly get my online purchases, and how easy it is to find what I need in-store.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We have used them for numerous remodeling jobs. I have just about stopped using the because of self checkout and they charge almost $3.00 a month service charge on my Lowe's card that I maintain a zero balance on.

I went to Lowes today and bought 91.08 in merchandise. I went to the garden center for my purchase only to be confronted by a cashier by the name of Sarah who asked me when I approached her to check out Sarah replied what do you want? I asked her if she was open only to be answered very rudely by Sarah .
After my purchase Sarah didn't even bag my items at all a friend that was with me bagged them.I now understand why Lowes is going with self checkouts because of employees like Sarah.
