I called in early Nov to schedule a first time appointment. Before doing so I asked if they accepted my insurance that I pay for. They said yes but the next available appointment would be Dec 27 since I’m a new patient. Almost 2 months away. Ok fine. The day of the appointment I forgot my wallet and had to reschedule because I couldn’t pay the copay at that moment. Next appointment was Jan 9th. They waited until an hour before the appointment to call me and tell me they don’t accept my insurance and my visit would cost $300 out of pocket. When I pressed them about this they said that they recently changed providers or something back in December and they weren’t aware that they didn’t accept my insurance. I use United healthcare that I pay for through my work…a lot of people use this insurance and I’m sure a lot of their existing patients did too. Did they kick them all out or start charging them outrageous fees? They’ve wasted months of my time, have been completely unprofessional, their doctors office is a literal shack on the side of the highway, I’ve never been so displeased and put off by a doctors office. Unbelievable that they consider themselves professionals.

I am a patient of Dr. Bertha.Dr Bertha is only Dr. That had enough compassion to help me with my diabetes and several other health problems. I am 42 years old female who has been very sick for a long time until I met Dr. Bertha and her loving sweet caring staff especially the young lady Kaylin who works front desk and the nurse Crystal.

I highly recommend that you steer clear of this place. This is the most ridiculous money scam focused "Healthcare" facility I've ever seen. I Highly RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY!. Or, come and torture yourself, but your health is the least of their concern.

The care provided by the nurse was substandard at best. I was with the provider for about 10 minutes before she wrapped up everything and said come back in a week or so. I'm an out-of-pocket uninsured American and had to pay $283.00 for the new patient appointment. Wow! I only had the providers attention for 10 minutes. Her time might be valuable but from what I could see, her efforts were barely worth a quarter of that! When I went to schedule the "follow up" I was told it would be ANOTHER $189.00! THE OFFICE IS CRAMPED AND SHE LECTURES YOU, LITERALLY! There is a lecturn in the room. It was DEFINITELY A RELATIVE WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY. No VALUE HERE!Even the responses to the low reviews by the owner tend to be blaming the patients for their poorly run office. Stop gas lighting your own patients! It's so TACKY!!!!

Today I finally switched my pcm after being unsatisfied with Primary and Immediate Care of the Pines for quite some time. I called on November 16th and November 22nd trying to speak to my provider about a referral that needed updating. I never received a phone call back either time. I was in need of an updated referral for a specialty appointment I have at Duke on the 30th. I made this appointment with Duke months ago under a referral that was active at the time. I called Primary and Immediate care back today, the 28th, to see what the status was and was told I needed to come in and see my provider to get an updated referral. Today is Tuesday, and my appointment is Thursday. If they had bothered to call me back either one of the two times I called previously, coming in would not have been an issue. So, I just paid out of pocket for the appointment I have scheduled on the 30th at Duke because they will not see me without the referral. If you value your provider seeing you as anything but a source of revenue, don't bother with this clinic. I personally liked the providers, but hated the way the clinic was ran.

I am a new patient with Dr Miller. I can tell you that Dr Miller and her staff run a first class practice. Very friendly and professional. Dr Miller listens and sincerely cares about me and my health. So happy that I called. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Miller and her staff to anyone. Happy patient!!

The nurse practitioner may be lovely. The people working in her office need to be re-educated about HIPPA Laws, kindness and just basic manners.

Nurse Jennifer is rude and unprofessional she lied and said I didn’t have insurance i called my insurance company to confirm that I did they told me they never received any phone call from her I called back only for her to tell me I need proof that she didn’t call them. Wish I could give zero stars… and this is my reply I’m not coming back because Jennifer was nasty and mean will not come back to your office at all following the telephone conversation with Jennifer you didn’t witness that because she wouldn’t even let me speak on the phone before she would cut me off and you lied and said there were people around there wasn’t it was just her and another patient so I guess you consulted with another patient about me ?

The care provided at Primary Car of the Pines is unmatched. I started seeing Dr. Lamb back in August and am grateful to have made the switch to this office. If you are looking for a reliable Primary Care office do not hesitate to establish care.

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. I have been going here over a year and literally every appointment started 30-45 minutes late even if it was within the first hour of opening. I have been late for work waiting to be seen, had to pay baby sitters extra waiting to be seen and overall feel like every appointment is a waste of time.Every time I called for an appointment the receptionist made me feel bad for calling, never polite and sounded exasperated.Every time I tried to get medication refilled the pharmacy never received the scripts and I often ran out of medication that I HAVE to take daily. After this last appointment that took 45 minutes for a simple refill and to go to the pharmacy to find that I was missing two prescriptions, I’m done. Not worth being this frustrated just to see a doctor.

I had a great visit today and was in and out within 30minutes! Rebecca at the front desk was kind and welcoming (also accommodated this last minute visit) and the MA Brooke was knowledgeable and efficient in gathering my info and taking my vitals. NP Megan was knowledgeable, efficient, and lovely to work with.

Bertha is a breath of clean air! The staff is wonderful , I’ve never had an issue with appointments or timely test results .Fabulous health care in a compassionate caring environment, what else do ya need?A five star office and I’m not easily pleased.I’ve walked out of offices and fought with doctors before I put up with behaviors from health care “ professionals “ that make you feel less than an equal to them YOUR health care.I’ve been called difficult and have had to become my own advocate, I didn’t have one in the corporate health world.I feel I do nowIt’s nice to have someone else on the team I trust thanks Bertha! ✌??
