I called earlier today to get a quote for dry cleaning a down comforter. They were very nice and gave me a really affordable quote. When I walked in, the front desk staff recognized me by my voice. The charming southern lady at the front desk was delightful—I love her. Plus, the place smells amazing when you walk in.

i would leave zero stars if i could. my dad has used this cleaner for YEARS. i remember going with him ever since i was a little kid. he recently took 5 shirts in & accidentally left $600 dollars buttoned up in his pocket. he realized it immediately and called to let him know. his ticket drop off originally said “5”. however, when he came back, they changed his ticket number to “4” and the shirt and money was never to be found. they brought it to managements attention & even sent a letter to the owners. their numbers ended up being blocked and no one was held accountable. so, here is a public review.sure, him leaving his money was his fault. but he notified them immediately & went back- having faith in them doing the right thing. they not only took the money but he STILL does not have the shirt. this is not an honest or trustworthy company. they do not have honest or trustworthy employees. this town is small and reputation is everything. they’re not credible & quite frankly are so unprofessional and morally challenged. i would not take any clothing here, nor recommend anyone to do so. if you need honest cleaners, go to valet dry cleaners in southern pines. they will do right by you.

The young lady that works there is the rudest most disrespectful young lady I have ever experienced in my life she's miserable. She's a snot. I waited 15 minutes for a cause. She was too busy to come to the front. They've lost my nice placemats and have done nothing about it. I will never go back there. I don't recommend anybody go there. They are horrible.

I have been a loyal customer of American Cleaners for almost 20 years. In the last 9 months they have ruined a wool sweater and a pair of slacks. They will not call me to discuss. Very poor customer service. I am going to another dry cleaner.
