Really enjoyed ice cream from this shop. More than 2 dozen flavors of soft-serve, plus ten regular scoopable flavors, including my son’s favorite, death by chocolate. I also enjoyed talking to the very friendly proprietor, the owner of the shop plus a nearby restaurant.

First of all the service was amazing! The lady who served us was very friendly and inviting. The ice cream was sooooo yummy!!! My boyfriend and I got milkshakes; Nutella milkshake and a Reese milkshake and my loooooord it was soo good! We bought an homemade oreo ice cream as well and loved that too!!

We went to Barnes for ice cream after a hot day at the Tablelands. Barnes was the only place in Trout River that showed up on Google maps as serving ice cream, but there was another restaurant nearby that was also advertising it. We were very pleasantly surprised - it’s a convenience store that may not look like much from the outside, but they have more than 24 flavours of soft serve (they mix with flavoured syrups similar to frozen yogurt) and a few hard ice cream options too. Definitely more than the basic vanilla and chocolate we expected. I got coconut (amazing) and my fiancé got the red velvet (he loved it).Would definitely recommend for a sweet cold treat!
