My mechanic Ed was the best. I had brought a car for inspection and repair. He walked me through everything the car needed and what he would do in each step. He was very knowledgeable and polite.

Very professional, polite and courteous. Keeps you informed of what's going on. Sends the bill to give you an option of either paying it then, or going to the business to pay.
