SAVED HUNDREDS SWITCHING PHARMACIES.
I am so disappointed in Lawton's Kelligrews and their slow, unreliable, and mediocre customer service.
We have been going here for our prescriptions for over 2 years, and even when we had bad experiences we kept giving them a chance to be better. The last few experiences I've had here have been horrible.
More than once we've had prescriptions not ready when they said they would be ready, sometimes more than once for the same prescription to be picked up. One time they forgot twice and told us it would be ready first thing the next morning (we were going away the next day). We stopped on our way to the airport and the prescription STILL wasn't ready. They couldn't have it ready in time for our flight! How unreliable and unprofessional for a pharmacy. This continued to be a trend where we'd go to pick up a prescription and it wouldn't be ready.
We finally decided to look for another pharmacy, and chose Shoppers in Manuels. They requested the transfer from Lawton's, and unsurprisingly they were slow sending it over.
But my biggest shock and disgust with Lawton's came yesterday, when I went to pick up a prescription from Shoppers for the first time. This prescription used to cost me over $100 at Lawton's, so I was expecting the same price at Shoppers. Nope! The Shoppers Pharmacy put my insurance through and said they applied a pharmacy program to my account that would help cover some high prescriptions costs. She asked me if Lawton's had done this for me, and I said I wasn't sure, but I didn't think so. She said we'll see now when the remaining price shows. Turns out Lawton's wasn't helping me cover expensive prescriptions costs. What cost me $100+ at Lawton's Kelligrews cost me TEN DOLLARS at SHOPPERS.
I saved OVER $100 on one prescription by switching to Shoppers.
I was so relieved and happy, and absolutely poisoned and rotted with Lawton's for taking HUNDREDS of dollars from me.
Can someone at Lawton's Kelligrews please explain this discrepancy to me? Why did you charge me over $100, while Shoppers charged me $10 for the EXACT SAME PRESCRIPTION?

Alway check your drugs BEFORE leaving the store. They made errors on mine. They also gave a prescription to the wrong person. New safety rule, they confirm who is picking up drugs for another person. Instead of asking g my name, they asked "Are you Bob? Could be Jim if you want. Gone to Sobeys, safer.

So if your running late to go to this store to get milk 6 mins before closing the security guard with the mask and fogged up glasses won't let you in. There is only one of them that you can have a conversation with half decent. Like I know times are hard but really need security? I guess cause of all the skeets but still dislike the way they handle their business ?.. cheap spot to get your milk tho.

Not very thrilled with the security guard who takes his time to tell me to put my hood down when i’m just calmly browsing the isles. He’s also extremely rude with the way he talks. Overall my experience there is always ruined by this security guard. The first time he told me to put my hood down it was pouring outside, which if he had some common sense he would realize that I was just trying to avoid getting my hair completely soaked by the rain. Like honestly if you have such a problem with people putting their hoods up just put a sign of store policy’s outside so people at least know what to expect when they get rudely spoken to by a security guard.

Wasnt too thrilled about the pharmacy and the tone I was spoken to in. Lawtons itself is alright to shop but I left pretty unsatisfied about the visit. Just lost 6 customers on the pharmacy department. Just a note, you are not doctors and have no right to with hold medication cause you "think" dose is wrong. People got sick because of this behavior! Will be making a formal complaint about the pharmacist.
