I am thoroughly disgusted with Yorkville Framing! I purchased a reproduction of a painting from Gary's Etsy shop. I specified the measurements were 24x30 and there were to be light brush strokes so it appeared somewhat genuine. The painting/stretched picture arrived and I noticed the brush stokes were way too heavy - there were globs of paint where they should not have been. I sent Gary a message and he offered me a discount on a replacement and requested I slash the picture and send him a photo. Are you crazy? What kind of business practice is this? I ignored him as we were moving I decided to deal with it later. I wrapped the picture in blankets (had thrown away the box) and set it aside for the move. I did, though, order an ornate picture frame for it. We ended up not moving (until this coming spring) so I got out the picture and attempted to place it into the frame. IT DID NOT FIT! The picture they sent was 23 1/4 x 30 1/2!!!! I was LIVID! I spent a lot of money on that frame and did not receive what I paid for! I sent Gary another message and his response was that it was too long for him to read so I sent a shorter message to which he replied that is was their fault it was the wrong size but I first had to mail the original back to them. I explained (as I did after the brush stroke incident) that I am from NYC - live in Maine - do not drive - am house bound - my roommates car is dead in the driveway etc. HE THEN SAID HE WOULD MAKE ME A NEW ONE ONLY IF I SLASHED THE PICTURE AND SENT A PHOTO! WHAT KIND OF PERSON CONDUCTS BUSINESS LIKE THIS? IT WAS THEIR FAULT THEY MADE IT THE WRONG SIZE AND THREW GLOBS OF PAINT ON IT MASQUERADING AS BRUSH STROKES! YET GARY INSISTS ON SEEING THE CANVAS DESTROYED!
THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! THEY HAVE NO SCRUPLES - NO INTEGRITY AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS! THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT CHOOSE TO SHOP HERE! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS! I HAVE HAD FAMOUS PAINTINGS REPRODUCED BEFORE AND NEVER HAVE I HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN! TERRIBLE! UNCONSCIONABLE! MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH! YOU WOULD BE ADVISED TO STEER CLEAR OF YORKVILLE FRAMING AND ART GALLERY! Also, making it the wrong size to begin with shows how unprofessional they truly are.

Highly recommended! Excellent service and pricing. I didn’t know what I wanted for matting and framing. They made recommendations that I would not have thought of and we are extremely happy we picked Yorkville Framing. They are true experts.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They went out of their way to get me the items that I wanted and arranged to have one of them shipped directly from a warehouse which was closer to me so the charge was less. Everything arrived in good time and good condition.

The owner, I assume, is extremely rude and unprofessional. I generally try to support local businesses but I will never use or recommend his services.

This has nothing to do with work this business did however, I was waiting in the Hertz parking lot and a worker from Yorkville Framing came out asking me to move since I wasnt " In a Spot." The gentleman was extemely rude about it and could have been much nicer. Looks like I will never be doing business there.

Tucked away in this little shop off Commercial Drive is a delightful framing and art shop. The owner himself greeted me as I entered. He was open early and able to accommodate my unusual framing request. What a serendipitous find!
