The worst! I have a mortgage through them and I paid both February and Marchs together, told the bank teller this, wrote it in the memo section as well. What does she do? Apply it to the principal. Went out of town and found out that our credit card limits were decreased because the people you hire for bank tellers DIDNT listen and so it got reported to the credit bureaus as being 39 days late!!! So my credit score dropped 114 points because you reported it as a late payment, even though it wasn't late, it was YOUR fault!!! Seriously. hire some people with brains! They had one job and they failed. Miserably.

Their customer service is excellent and their interest on checking. savings and CDs is very good compared to other banks.

I would love to give this entity a zero but that option is not available. I have had nothing but issues since opening this account almost two years ago. The newest issue is that I am being charged overdraft fees on positive balances.

I've had an excellent experience with AmeriCU, since 2016 when I experienced an accident and needed to take out my first loan. Mike in Herkimer made the process simple, understandable and stress free, and got me the help I needed. Since then, I've moved away from AmeriCU to a farther location, and Samra has been a magnificent help in maintaining my account from a distance. She's helped me with a variety of issues with the distance situation (such as helping me reset my loan from another account as I could no longer deposit there) and helping make it convenient despite being so far away. Plus, she's always prompt with returning emails and answering questions fully. Both of those who have helped me with my banking here are phenomenal and I couldn't ask for a better experience with my loan.

Really really disappointed in AmeriCU. Yesterday, my husband noticed a charge on our account from NYS DTF and so he called and asked them to look into it because we weren't aware of any transaction to them. The lady on the phone told my husband she would have to charge our account to investigate. I've never heard of a bank charging to do their job so I called them. Could not be more disappointed in #americucreditunion . The only reason there are two stars on this review is for the customer service I receive at the East Syracuse location. If not for that branch I would prefer to give zero stars. As a bank account holder, as well as Mortgage holder I am mortified at the level of service received (or lack there of) from the Mortgage department.
