Brought a 2010 Prius with 100K miles on it for an oil change, check up due to heavier summer driving and a minor transmission thump. Left it for the day. No call by 3:30, called. Advisor busy, will call back. 4:15. Called. Advisor busy, will call back. Declined and told them we'd be there in 30 minutes to pick up car, have it ready. On site, learned our adviser left at Noon! Huh? Why lie?Important: All the check boxes in the mechanic's report, including brakes, were in the green.Charged $70 for transmission diagnosis. There was none. No test drive. Same mileage in and out. Tech just shrugged and said, "I dunno. I dunno." Had no results from a "computer check" to show. This ASE and Toyota Certified tech with Prius experience had no idea what it could be and offered no suggestions. Refused to pay the diagnosis fee. That's when Andy, the silly clown of a service manager, entered the picture with a sour and could-give-a-crap attitude. Battled it out and didn't pay the fee as there was no diagnosis, no road test, no idea.Took the vehicle to Oriskany Garage who specialize in Prius. The owner spoke to us at length and said a transmission fluid change was probably the issue (the "forever" transmission fluid in a Prius is fantasy). He also advised other 100K service - injector clean, etc. When the vehicle was brought in for fluid and injector cleaning, OG sent a comprehensive report of ten issues via internet. It showed (with pictures) the rear brake rotors were dangerously low, like down to the composite material. This was obvious without taking the wheel off, yet Steet reported them as perfectly fine. The vehicle was this close to losing rear braking. Also dangerous, the muffler bracket was broken. This could lead to the muffler falling out of the vehicle.OG got the brake job - new rotors and pads. The transmission fluid change got rid of the thump. The car runs like a top. Fixed the muffler hanger ourselves.I place Steet's service department lack of professionalism and satisfactory customer service squarely on the owners. Yelp is full of bad reviews, and we're certain Steet and Ponte's ears are filled with complaints about the shoddy service at their dealership yet they allow the service manager malcontent to continue managing a place rife with lazy and uncaring techs. The owners are losing money hand over fist. We gladly paid OG $1100. That slipped from Steet's pockets. That's on them, and we could care less. We simply want good service, and are willing to pay for it.Steet will never touch the Prius ever again. We will also never purchase a new or used vehicle from them. We recommend not taking your vehicle to Steet Toyota for any service.Note that every time the Prius was brought into Steet there was an issue. A highlight, or rather lowlight, was ordering a rotation. It wasn't done. On pickup, the adviser said we didn't need it. It did. We keep scrupulous service records. Advisers fulfill customer orders. They are not chartered to make judgement calls on service that is counter to customer requests.Ironically, we take our F250 to Steet Ford. They perform spectacular service. What's the difference? The atmosphere is far more conducive to quick and caring customer service. That goes to the service manager. Steet, Ponte, fire the Steet Toyota service manager. They're clueless and hemorrhaging money from your dealership. And advising a car that's dangerous to drive is operating properly. That puts our lives and the lives of others at risk.

Horrible service department.I went in for my usual oil change and also a tire rotation at Steet Toyota of Yorkville. I was charged for the tire rotation and was told that it was done when I picked up my truck but in truth it was never done. The only way I know this is that one of my tires has a slow leak. When I checked the pressure on my tires several days later I noticed that the tire with the leak was still in the same position. Most people would never know that the rotation wasn't done. I wonder how many times this has been done to others without them being caught. When I told them about it their only response was to issue me a credit for the tire rotation. Nothing about the inconvenience to me of still needing a tire rotation and the time required to make another service appointment let alone them being caught for not doing it and charging me for it. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with their service department. It seems they care very little about the customer service side of their dealership.

Not happy with the sales department. Took 4 months for the sales rep to get around to fixing the issues with my car. Should have been done before the car was sold.

Jeff Oyer my salesman and Chris Bivens from finance were very easy to deal with. They made the transition to my newer car very easy. I am a repeat customer and I highly recommend dealing with both of them

The sales staff was great. They made the whole process very easy. Jason wasn’t pushy/annoying and Chris was quick to handle our paperwork. HOWEVER (to preface, this issue primarily falls on the service department) we had our brand new 2020 4Runner TRD Pro ceramic coated and returned to us with swirls in the ceramic coat. According to Chris they “detailed” it again AFTER IT CAME BACK FROM THE DETAILER. The initial resolve was to “polish out the swirls” which would in turn compromise the integrity of the ceramic coat and leave me down the drain... Since bringing up the issue we have yet to find any resolve (this was months ago). As a detailer and someone who spent a serious amount of money on a vehicle, I expected more. Again the experience was great, however this really leaves a sour taste.

I just want to thank Jeff Oyer for making an offer I couldn’t refuse on the purchase of my new 2018 Toyota Corolla. He worked to get the price right that I could afford and was very personable and helpful. Thanks again Jeff.

They just plain out liars in the service department. They all need to be fired. Someone reset my maintenance light and did not change the oil or call me to state the light was on, but reset it. I don't know how to reset.Thank ya AS

I just had the best service experience I think I’ve ever had done going to a car dealership! Edwin was my advisor, he was extremely helpful and respectful! I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. He informed me that my brakes needed some work which I kind of had a feeling they did and my truck had a recall. They took care of everything right there and the wait time wasn’t long at all! Very happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back!

Everyone I have encountered at Steet Toyota has gone out of their way to give me the best service that I have had at any, ANY car dealership. I have found the staff to be consistently polite, caring and professional.

I just really want to thank Jim, the service manager , at Steet and make sure he gets recognized. I brought my car in for an oil change and rotation for my lease, which was had prepaid maintenance plan, but only up until 45,000 and I was under the impression it was for the life of the lease (which technically as 45,000). Nonetheless, I was having a bad day and he explained it well. I was told that they also had to fix a recall and asked if I was waiting. I said yes but then for a ride to work for a bit. I came back 2 1/2 hours later and the vehicle hadn't even been worked on. I was told that because of the recall it wouldn't be done for another two hours. I began to get upset and Jim provided me with a vehicle to get by until it was ready. And exactly 2 hours later, as promised it was done. I would also like to thank Alex for putting up with me when I got upset. Way to go steet.
