Very poor customer service. The Spanish guy was racist and was only talking to the Spanish customers. Put me on hold for over half hour. Then just to tell me to leave. Don't go to the lawnmower shop..they have no mechanics!

I absolutely love this place! Wonderful quality and selection. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. From the greenhouse to the outdoor plants its just such a great place. They also have a lovely store that's is nice to visit especially during the holidays. It's not just a nursery it's an experience. My kids love visiting the chicken coop, watching the frogs in the pond, saying hi to the cats, looking at the tropical plants inside. They are so family friendly. I then of course come home with more plants than planned. Every time! Lol

The quality of their stuff is good (though the same as everywhere else) but the guy who answers the phone is just dreadful. Told us pavers weren't in stock, we visited the site to look at alternatives and it turned out they did have them he just hadn't checked. At the end of the job we had one pallet left over and asked to return it. He told us we could (for a 35% restocking fee) but then when we called the next day to schedule that return he then said they couldn't. There's too many supply companies around here to be dealing with this poor customer service, so we'd suggest using others for larger jobs where you're not just picking up the stuff yourself (their staff on-site were great).

Great place to shop. Great selection of plants to choose from. More expensive than Lowe's or Home Depot but quality of plants very good. Family run small business.

Came here after a not so great experience visiting Maple Grove in Mahopac. I was in search of a cast iron plant and/or pet friendly plants that do well in low/moderate light. Whispering Pine sent me home with a beautiful cast iron plant. The customer service was fantastic - the Indoor Plant Staff (Anthony If I recall correctly) helped me to find and go home with everything I needed. I was provided with a printed list of pet friendly plants, educated on the care of the plant, and took the time to make sure I had all the materials to set me up for success. He encouraged me to contact them if I any issues with the plant. Overall exceptional customer service experience, especially after a less than helpful experience at Maple Grove. Whispering Pines has my business moving forward!

Ordered a truck load of topsoil delivered to my house recently. While the order was being delivered, the driver accidently ran over part of my firepit causing damage. It was obviously an honest mistake. Spoke with the owner Tommy who immediately made it right. Very professional and good guy. Used Whispering Pine Landscaping Materials for the past 10 years and have always been happy with their products and delivery service. Sometimes s*** happens, but they did the right thing by the customer. I'll continue to use them and recommend them. Thanks again!
