I enjoy visiting this CVS, from the staff to the ease of finding what I need, it's always a great shopping experience.

I don't live in the area and I never used the pharmacy but I popped in to buy a few items I needed and walked out with a shopping bag full of stuff. This is a well stocked store - at least on my visit - and I got everything I needed and more.

The store is great. The pharmacy sucks, they're unprofessional and rude. Id rather support the local mom and pop pharmacies.

Stephanie was unbelievably helpful, and greeted me the second I walked in the door. She needs a raise ASAP!

The head pharmacist told me today that I was wasting his time when trying to ask about a prescription for my two month old daughter. His exact words were “Next time you should download the CVS app to find this out instead of wasting our time.” Unacceptable.

Spoke today with the pharmacist in duty for a medication refill that my husband picked up for my daughter yesterday. It was the wrong dose. The medication dose has changed and previously refilled in the same pharmacy. Her explanation was….they have 1000 customers, multiple prescriptions. If the doctor doesn’t cancelled the previous prescription, they will keep refilling it. I called that “fraud”. She said you should check medications at the register before taking them. By NYS law, once you take it, they can’t take it back even though it’s the wrong dose. Be aware!!! They don’t care!!! Double check medication doses. ASK questions before paying.

A few weeks ago an employee named Jake helped me out with the self checkout and he was so helpful and great. I'm glad you have employees like him!

I had the pleasure of Shopping in Yorktown CVS, where my cashier name Stephanie noticed I had dry skin on my hands. She went out of her way to find a new product that The store was carrying. I literally will go back to that store just because of her!

Consistently terrible experiences with this pharmacy. Today we waited 7 hours to fill a scrip because “the doctors office didn’t write the scrip properly”. A technicality cited as the reason for this unacceptable experience. The ask is that your doctor write your scrip in such a way that they are able to fill it without it requiring a prior authorization. Unacceptable from my health insurance company as well (UNITED who literally acquired CVS years ago). It’s obvious they are trying to add friction to the entire process in hopes that you will pay out of pocket (which we almost did for $300). There is absolutely no question that CVS / United management has data showing adding friction to these processes increase out of pocket payment. The pharmacists are either incompetent or incapable of helping. An awful experience every time.My recommendation, find a locally owned pharmacy and use them whenever possible. Of course in this instance today, using CVS was unavoidable due to highly time sensitive health need and the specialized nature of the medication needed.

This pharmacy (and perhaps the parent company being CVS Health) actually violate the law!!! The CDC has mandated that ANY person seeking a COVID 19 vaccine is entitled to one FREE OF CHARGE (with or WITHOUT insurance coverage). The CDC has made a partnership with CVS and other select providers through their Bridge Access Program to distribute the vaccine and the government seemingly compensates CVS for these services. The CVS website itself even acknowledges this arrangement. After booking an appointment online for my wife at this location she was contacted by the pharmacist directly (on the morning of the appointment). She was told that she would have to provide insurance information over the phone before coming in or pay $200 (even though it was noted in the online system at the time of scheduling the appointment that she did not have insurance coverage and the appointment was confirmed accordingly). She inquired with the pharmacist as to the existence of any arrangement with CDC however he insisted upon payment or insurance and ultimately cancelled her appointment. I was at work and called him immediately and mentioned the CDC program by name. He said he was conveniently "not aware of this" Really??? Over 3 years into COVID and the pharmacist in charge never heard of this?? Hard to believe... I inquired about his name and HE THEN REFUSED to provide it (realizing I was an informed consumer and was willing to contact his corporate office to formally make a complaint). I did in fact contact the CVS corporate office immediately and announced my intentions to speak with an attorney and pursue possible legal action. Within the hour the same pharmacist called my wife back and told her to come in for the vaccine (free of charge). CVS seems to be acquiring vaccine in bulk through an arrangement with the CDC wherein they are to provide this vaccine to ANYONE seeking it however they are selectively intimidating customers without insurance and cancelling their appointments. They seem to be doing this so as they can have more vaccines available for those willing to pay $200 (or have their insurance company pay $200 on their behalf). Hey CVS...news flash... this is against the law!!! The company representative I spoke with at CVS Health Corporate Offices indicated she spoke with a pharmacist named "Joseph" at this location when she contacted the store with my complaint. He may be the individual who refused to provide his name to me. Hey CVS corporate... Have you seen ALL of the negative reviews for the pharmacy at this location???? Obviously you have a problem here... I would suggest you fix THIS specific problem immediately as a pattern of this could find your company involved in a class action lawsuit.

LONG story short because there is a character limit for a review. I went to CVS in Yorktown Heights, NY. I went to pickup my prescription of needles for insulin use. The needles are prepackaged and the pharmacy needs to do NOTHING but take the box off the shelf, scan it, let me pay, and give it to me. When I went to pick up the script they told me it wasn’t ready bc the pharmacist needed to prepare it. WHAT? Nothing to prepare. It's a prebox of needles. Anyway, they told me 10 minutes. I returned 10 minutes later, and the pharmacy cashier called me up to checkout but then said the pharmacist, John needs to approve the script. WHAT it's a box of needles what is there to approve. She tells me a few more mins. Few mins becomes 15 mins later. When I inquire the cashier tells me the holdup is because he’s giving vaccinations when I say can’t another pharmacist approve it I am told no because 4 pharmacists quit that week and John the head pharmacist is the ONLY pharmacist there.I go to the vaccine area to see how much longer it’s going to be. Someone is sitting waiting to be vaxed and he tells the other customer to go into the room. He’s just about to enter the room to vax her when I say, “excuse me, can I ask you a question.” I ask when he can approve my prescription & he said after he’s done vaxing. About another 5 mins goes by he comes out and I am in the waiting area & there are about 6 people on line waiting to their scripts. He comes out to me and in front of everyone berated me for coming into the vax area telling me that I interrupted him while he was giving the vax and how would I like that if a customer did that to me if he was vaxing me. I corrected him and said that’s not what happened. Then he said, “well I was giving her instructions and you interrupted me.” That never happened. John, the head of the pharmacy is a LIAR or has a serious memory issue.I went to the front of the store to complain to the manager. This guy was not the manager, but maybe an assistant manager. Very OLD, fraile man. When he walked up to the front of the store he said to the clerk who called him who do I have to micromanage now referring to me. WOW great Customer Service CVS.John the head pharmacist is a RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. All you are John is a glorifed PILL COUNTER and that's all you'll ever be your not GOD as you think that you are, BUT YOUR NOT. NO WONDER WHY 4 PHARMACIST QUIT IN A WEEK IF HE TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS HOW DOES HE TREAT HIS STAFF.The whole store from the clerks to the managers are just RUDE and unproffesional. CVS is over rated and I can only hope they go under like so many other big business that only care about the dollar and not the customer experience.I wish I could write more and go into more detail, but there is a character limit. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND ANOTHER PHARMACY. There is a grea pharmacy at Stop & Shop located at Baldwin Place in Somers.CVS YOU SHOULD BE EMBRASSED TO HAVE THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE WORKING FOR YOUR CORPORATION.

This store works its best to satisfy everyone and I known this well when shopping. The dedication of the staff is unspeakable in a positive way. They go high and beyond. Do not let these reviews convince that. I don’t use the pharmacy so I have no knowledge on that, but the floor staff is wonderful. They have managers who listen and will do their best to help you. I had a problem where I was trying to load pictures on my phone that a manager and an associate could not figure out only for some guy named Lupo to come in and found the issue and helped me replace my son’s order. He is so kind and knowledgeable. Barbara helped me look for a hair conditioner and checked the prices for me. I am always shopping here because the staff are just wonderful. ?
