“Ms diorra is a very pleasant and honest woman. I did not have the pleasure of shopping there but I lost my wallet while on vacation and she went above and beyond to make sure I got it back. I would give 10 stars if I could”
“Gary's great I've been going there since 1980 and every time I do if he doesn't have it the can usually get it. In fact I have to go soon I need flat cars.”
“Kind staff, and super affordable prices. If you find yourself to be in the area, consider stopping in. You won't regret it! Great selection of quality, true vintage clothes, as well as accessories and furniture.”
“Justin is awesome, and this store is great. Got myself a few Green Lantern toys for my collection and shirts. Laughed and talked about a bunch of stuff. Worth a visit.”
“Love this place. Lots of super-cheap clothes. My advice on how to shop is to make three or four rounds just to make sure you didn't miss anything. Friendly staff, good vibes here. Also, I thought it worth adding that I've been to plenty of bigger, chain resale shops in NY and NJ like Unique, 2nd Ave Thrift, and this place is better. It's clean, rotates stock, and is far more pleasant.”
“Such a quality store! A curation of the latest season runway pieces from your favorite designers: Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Christian Loub, Fenty, raf simons. Anyone u can name & 100% real! 10/10”

253 Closter Dock Road Ground Floor, Closter“I had a great experience shopping there. Everyone was so nice and pleasant, super helpful as well. I went there with my baby and they were so gentle and kind to us. The items are top notch. Everything looks brand new and they have a great selection with great prices. I’ll be definitely coming back.”
“Miriam is one of the most genuine people I have come across in a long time.. she made my girlfriend and I feel welcome immediately upon entering her store. Not one time did she pressure us into any purchase and was completely knowledgeable with any question we had. She also went out of her way to ship something to me for my girlfriend in time for Christmas. I would highly recommend her and this shop to anyone in the area interested in a great experience. Look forward to heading back soon!”
“I am a seller for my sister's home furniture, art, collectibles. I placed my older sister into a retirement home. I had to seek long distance help and it was a leap of faith. The process of getting help was easy and professional. I visited the shop and was completely impressed. There is a dazzling range of quality items and great pricing. It is the best consignment shop I have ever seen. Anyone seeking quality items at very competitive pricing, this is the place.”
“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”

110 E 153rd St, Bronx“I have been going to this place for a very long time and there have been a lot of good managers who have come and gone but the current one David is one of the nicest I have ever met. He is a professional at what he does. He is a hard worker, he treats the staff nicely and his customer service is impeccable. Thank you David for making shopping at Thriftland a more pleasant experience. The store is one of the best thrift stores in the Bronx. It’s clean and has better quality goods and the staff are friendly as well.”
“Excellent prices, service and selection of clothes, jewelry and handbags, plus so much more! Shoes, appliances, decor and accessories, absolutely everything you need. my favorite thrift/consignment store!”

44 S 4th Ave, Mt Vernon“Wife speaking - This was the BIGGEST Rainbow Shop I have ever been to. Even the Plus Size section was LARGE and wasn't limited to one small area like most are. I was so excited, was able to buy multiple styles. I'm even go back there soon to shop for my trip coming soon because it had so many choices. Again, huge Rainbow Shop. The manager was very polite, allowed me my space to shop freely. Parking is easy.”

2420 Broadway, New York“I have to laugh -- a “reviewer” named Eva Melin-Gompper below billed herself as “an antique expert” – which means she’s 100 years old; but what she meant to say is that she’s an “antiques” expert. However, if she was, she would realize Olde Good Things are not overpriced at all, as she claims. As a matter of fact, as salvagers you can say some of their pieces are flawed, but their prices are very reasonable. Check 1st Dibs and Charish, or any of the auction houses, to know what “overpriced” really means. Here you get what you get, and since you never know what that might be, the stores are fantastic for the thrill of the hunt, which is what antiquing is all about. Olde Good Things salvages materials from buildings being demolished or refurbished, including hotels, office buildings, etc., as well as creates new items out of reclaimed metals, woods, and other materials. This is a place where many truly unique finds are to be had. They have a spectacular array of lighting and fixtures, if only I had high ceilings. They also carry endless amounts of hardware, including doorknobs, and I bought vintage art deco glass ones here years ago. I bought five pieces of furniture from the two stores in Manhattan to reorganize my apartment during the past two years, and I am thrilled with all of them. They have imperfections and they weren’t cheap, but this isn’t a thrift store; it’s an antiques and salvage dealer. The stores on West 52 Street and upper Broadway are two of my favorite places to hunt, and even though I now have no more room for anything, I’ll still be looking!”

159-161 E 126th St, New York“My wonderful vintage wrought iron door from Demolition Depot was just installed by Promaster Gates. It's spectacular, couldn't be happier or more satisfied with both companies.
Ilona at Demolition was so helpful and patient with me. She went out of her way to help navigate what would or wouldn't work for my project. She she spent loads of time with me to find the perfect solution to my unique security problem.
She was candid and had loads of amazing tips for the care and feeding of old wrought iron. This project would have stalled without her.
The pictures show the iron door in the second stage. Final painting will happen when the weather warms up.
Thanks Ilona it's been a great experience. You have so many beautiful things, I want more!”

562 North Ave, New Rochelle“Very large selection of clothing. Mostly reasonably priced. Some good brands. I found clothing that I needed for my kids' costumes for a play here, after I made some minor adjustments. Not as good of a selection on the home goods side.”
“Although I have emphathy for the inconvenience & frustration for lack of consistency w/store hours...the owner has been sick, in the hospital & recouping from a broken foot! Also, the loss of her sweetmother (reg customers know who I'm speaking of), & another very unexpected death in the family, all in the past year +/- have been hard for her. Dare I suggest you call 1st, just to verify her open hours. Just a thought. I'm just saying...?”

“Everything is fabulous! I love to go at least one a month to find fresh finds! The owners and staff are so sweet! The stock is amazing! The merchandise is modern and hip! Love!”
