Worse post office in America. They don’t open on time. Unfriendly staff, not welcoming.

Unfortunately there is limited staff here and you spend about a half an hour even to get to the counter. So sad.

pretty sure the delivery person steals packages as mine always goes missing. they mark as delivered or incorrect issue. they also never answer the phone so there's no way to check if the package can be picked up there. place is a mess don't expect friendly or helpful service either they're all miserable and angry.

I am sorry to have walked in there just because I needed a few stamps; a terribly rude woman, completely lacking in manners, simmering with negativity. Other businesses in Yonkers have at least a sliver of customer service and interaction- and way more. Never again going back in this place. Then, the USPS wonder why they have lost so much business.

Awful experience, the lady clerk in the last window to the right. Very rude, seemed aggy about something. Refused service to me by lieing and saying there are no more money orders at the station. As I'm walking out I see a customer buying money orders. She just didn't want to do her job which involves counting. Very inconvenient.A previous time she locked me and other customers 15 minutes past 5 pm because she wants to only open the door once to let everybody out at once. That is illegal to hold someone ina place against their will when they need to leave .This station needs a change or rotation in staff.

Really bad employee, came to return an item in which I’m not used returning things, I asked a question about something and she (a employee named Enid if that’s how to spell it) just had the worst attitude.. the worst is that I was the only one there so I guess she thought she can talk to me like that. I was very nice to her in the beginning, had a really nice morning until she messed it up, what’s worse is that after I wrote the return address on the paper to give to her, I went up to her window and stood there in front of her for literally 30 seconds maybe more, as she counted the money in her register. I understand you have to count your money but If there is a customer in front of you at least say give me one minute…Why do post office hire people like this….

Horrible employees...you mean to tell me I can only bring one FULL paid box, and bring another FULL paid box the following day...is there such a policy that says that? Never again going to this post office, if they ask again for signatures for it not to close, never again will I give support....change the staff or close it permanently!!!

One star rating is too much. This US Post Office deserve no star at all. The African middle aged woman that always wear a hat on her head and usually sit at the first window, is obviously using her job to discriminate against a particular group of people she doesn't personally like. Maybe she need to be reminded that she's employed by the US government and she's going to have to deal with all people from the community. We don't need her awful attitude added on to an already failing post office. She makes the environment hostile. She likes to provoke (a certain group of) people by throwing their change at them through the slot, yelling "next" to avoid from saying thank you or you're welcome. She's truly a mess. I don't expect for this complaint to do anything to better the situation. I usually just avoid the USPS altogether, but very few times I have no choice. This is basically for the other women like me that are being abused and bullied by this postal services employee. Believe me, it's not you. That lady has some deep issues and shouldn't be servicing the people in our community. One star for this place is too many.

I have never experience such a dysfunctional Post Office. Who ever is managing this location on Main St in Yonkers should be replaced along with most of the people working there. They are rude and seem not to care if they help you or not. Is it wrong to expect polite service and knowledgable people to be working with the public? I was there on a Monday afternoon and the line must have had 25 people waiting. One clerk held up the line while she worked with a customer who did not have his paperwork done when he went to the window to mail his letters. She allowed him to fill out all his paperwork at the window for over 20 minutes while we all waited in line. It is my understanding that you should have what you need mailed ready when you go to the window. In other post offices they give you want you need and ask you to stand aside to fill out the paperwork while they take the next customer. When I asked to speak to a manager a very nasty guy who said he was a assistant manger came to the window. When I told him about the hold up and the excessive amount of people waiting he said that is the way it is. He also said that the customer holding up the line was a "business customer". What is that we all are customers and I have never heard of a special line or window for business. He refused to give me his name as well as he refused to give me the name of the clerk who was holding up the customers for this supposed "business customer". I have reported this incidence to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs for the Post Office. Here is the number if anyone else needs to report this location: 914 697 7002. Something needs to be done about this location as it has been like this for years.
