Customer service here is atrocious. I come here with an item I purchased just a few days prior to coming back to return it. The transaction was made with my phone via Apple Pay, also linked to my loyalty rewards card with the store. I go to customer service to return the item, which was a janky $40 beach umbrella, and they tell me I need to have the original paper receipt. I have worked at several retail stores and know at every single one they’re able to pull up a transaction via the card if you used a card to pay with it (which I did), and also a loyalty member card. The woman told me I could not and would need to find the original paper receipt which is a bogus response and terrible customer service. Not to mention there another woman there who I just get bad vibes from like she despises her job and doesn’t wanna be bother to help anyone with anything. Your money is better spent elsewhere where they prioritize customer service. I’m out $40 now because I mistakenly took a chance on buying a beach umbrella here and was refused my ability to return the umbrella.

Saturday morning 6.8.24: many items not in stock! Angry Deli staff; save for the 1 lady who noticed and compensated for the mean guy. Like restaurants; dirty bathrooms are a good indicator of the hygiene of any food provider. Bathrooms are gross with no proper toilet paper dispenser: You know what that means!! Not enough checkouts for the fast growing Saturday morning shopping crowd.
Customer Service Dept. way too busy dealing with LOTTO...
This is a job for NYS; not for the grocery and food service it's supposed to represent!!! Anyway, ACME isn't much better so equal awful service for both... This is what pushes people to the finer grocery and food providers; Like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. It's what separates the mediocre from the rest. I'm not simply on a rant here; these food chains make lots and lots of money!! They do not re-invest in themselves and it all starts to slide into disgrace.
Buck up , Management!! Although, your probably shopping at Wholefoods :-)

It was clean but a bit crowded. They have regular cashiers as well as self checkout. Don't bother with self checkout. It takes up more time.

This Stop & Shop is located at Co-op City Boulevard it is in the pear tree Square Mall. Very nice place to shop compared to New Horizons Mall or the mall at Bay Plaza. Also there is a Golden Krust next door that is delicious. Let's not forget National Liquidators that is in between the two. Listen y'all if you coming from the Bronx area you are going to take the number 30 bus that's on White Plains Road and Pelham Parkway and it's going to leave you right on the side of that shopping mall. Have a good day y'all and thank you stop and shop at this location, for being amazing.

One star is because the deli counter STILL does not have a working customer service ticket machine. It's been about, what, 6 months now?? Also, the Scan-It scanners and the wi-fi for using Scan-It on your cell phones rarely work. I've emailed corporate and always get "we'll tell the store manager" as their response. The Scan-It system hasn't worked steadily in over a year. I ask many employees why and they all tell me corporate is aware and it's not a priority for them.

The recycling place has a bad smell and I always see that the person who attends to them is inside and brings that bacteria inside.
