Stopped in this location to see if they had an item in stock. 2 associates were standing next to me as I looked for the item and neither greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. I couldn’t find the item so I opened the drawer below and a different associate came up to me asking me what I was looking for and that we weren’t allowed to open the drawers. Ooook then greet people and ask them if they need assistance when they’re rummaging through looking for a specific color. Not helpful whatsoever.

This store is the worst. They are always too busy for curbside pick up. Then there should be a sign outside. Why should I alert you guys I am here then to outside for 15 mins to then have to call the store to find out what’s going on. Then for you to tell me we are too busy for curbside. We haven’t even looked at it. Are you freaking kidding me ! Customer service here is horrible. Two hours later, I checked the order to cancel the order and the store marked the order picked up already… Interesting.

I have always shopped at this Sephora since they originally opened and always having a good experience up until yesterday when I went to exchange something for a different shade and my sister kindly asked a staff member who was stocking to assist us. She was nice and went to assist us when another employee two feet away which happens to be a manager Nicki tells her through the little mic not to help us and to continue stocking. We can clearly see her as they are both near by so we turn and ask okay can you assist us she then replies no I can’t you’re gonna have to wait about 15 minutes if you need help. So confused being that she was just standing there doing absolutely nothing I asked is there a reason you can’t help she replies because there’s a line and I’m the manager. So really confused I replied well there is once cashier I don’t understand how you standing and watching is helping her or the line move any quicker she then realizes replies I’m the manager I know what I’m doing do you work here don’t tell me how to do my job. Me being a person who’s worked in customer service many years is well aware that her that is disgusting behavior from a supposed manager. Whoever assigned that position made a mistake. 1. You as a manager should help your staff if there is a overwhelming line or have someone assist. 2. For her to tell the girl to not help me and keep stocking through a mic was unprofessional instead of explaining why she didn’t want her to assist us and to flat out say no I can’t help you with no explanation is unprofessional. 3. The customer is always right you don’t go back and forth with a customer with attitude telling them do you work here don’t tell me how to do my job and just flat out be nasty is extremely unprofessional. 3. Obviously she is lazy watching her staff work and be overwhelmed and making customers wait while she is literally just stands there is insane. I don’t ever like messing with anyone’s income/job but the behavior from that manager Nicki was extremely unprofessional.

I am a Instacart Shopper and being that Beauty and Fragrance is more my moms department I knew that once I got to the store I might find it difficult to find everything but this very nice lady which I did not catch her name but she was super nice and helped me out a lot and I was in and out in 5 minutes when I expected to be there a lot longer and I really appreciated the help and as the lady was handing me stuff I only knew which one it was to scan based on the color!! ??

Title: Unprofessional and Rude Staff
On Monday, February 12th, my friend and I entered the store around 3 pm with two intentions: to inquire about job openings and to purchase some items. Initially greeted by a pleasant lady whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, we politely asked about job opportunities. She directed us to her coworker, Chelsea. However, our encounter with Chelsea quickly turned sour. Approaching her with a friendly greeting, she rudely cut me off, rolled her eyes, and in a dismissive manner, stated she was clocked out. Not only did she fail to make eye contact, but her demeanor was unprofessional and downright disrespectful.
What shocked me even more was witnessing her actively assisting other customers throughout the store after claiming to be off the clock. This inconsistency in her behavior reflects poorly on the store's management and the quality of service provided. As a retail worker myself, I understand the importance of professionalism and customer service, qualities that Chelsea severely lacks.
In conclusion, my experience at the store was marred by Chelsea's appalling attitude and lack of basic courtesy. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior in a retail environment and I sincerely hope that management takes steps to address this issue promptly.

The Fenty beauty section is amazing!! But some of the items they had in stock online, they actually didn't. Not sure what everyone's talking about when they say the customer service is bad because as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted. The door was unbelievable heavy and difficult to open. But the customer service was great. The store was very clean and I loved the way it was set up.

It was alright, had a great variety of products. Unfortunately, there were products smeared everywhere making the exhibit look disgusting.

So how did this start? I saw a TikTok video Fenty using makeup - had to try it. I ordered the items, they arrived but when I put it on my lip - it did not look right I happen to be going to Ridge Hill to the Apple Store so I popped into Sephora met the most lovely woman, Allyssa. Her customer service was terrific. There wasn't a hard push. There was never the hard sell. She did not overdo my make up. She did not overdo the sell. She was kind - she was warm. She was gracious. She was knowledgeable, and more importantly she got the job done. I made a Purchase - I'm happy and now I'm leaving a review. go see Allyssa in Yonkers. Tell her I sent you!

The micro aggression towards women of color is sickening ! Women of color are your number one consumer. Treat us with respect, give us space when we’re shopping, do not dragon breath on us, follow us around your store. It’s uncomfortable and disrespectful. Change your policies and training for better customer service.

Oooh! Finally, I get to say what crooks this company is full of! Had a coupon and returns, one of which was an even exchange. Instead of doing an exchange, they did a refund and charged the higher price for the items I was trying to exchange for. I had 1250 points and zeroed them out when I got home cause I'm never shopping there again. Buyer beware!

For some time now I have avoided visiting any Sephora locations in person for my purchases due to the poor customer service I have received in the past and today was just a reminder of that. I am not sure what the company’s process is for hiring its associates but they never fail to be very rude. This morning I arrived at the 163 Market St location in Ridgehill, at around 10:45AM not aware that they pushed back their opening time to 11AM for New Year’s Eve. When I attempted to open the door to the store and realized it was locked at least 3 of the associates inside saw me and instead of one of them walking up and simply explaining that the store didn’t open for another 15 minutes they were yelling from where they were standing inside, that they were closed. At least another 5 women ended up standing outside, like myself, waiting for the store to open and a couple of women came up and left when realizing the store was still closed. After standing out there for 15 minutes an associate, Alyssa (name she gave me), opened the doors with a grimace on her face as she let us all in. She did not greet any of us and once the last woman entered I went to show her my email for product pick up and with an attitude she said give me a minute, wait by the pick-up stand. She proceeded to go behind the register, made small talk with another employee, and took her time walking back to me to scan my email barcode. Without another word she walked away and after a couple of minutes she returned with my order and her attitude, handed it to me, and proceeded to walk away, at which point I kindly asked her name as she was still in earshot. She gave me her name, I thanked her and left. Given that it’s the holidays and frankly that they are in a customer service position, it would be expected that the associates working the floor would have better attitudes than they do but I suppose expecting the bare minimum is too much. I will not be returning to this location again.

I was pretty shocked and disgusted by a recent visit to return some merchandise. The cashier who assisted me (Nicki, 680) was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had a receipt for the items (which were unopened) and was well within the time frame for returns and all within the refund policy. The cashier acted as if I was taking money out of her own pocket - asking me why I was returning (after explaining) and why these items. At one point, she flat out refused a second transaction from a different order (a gift mind you, linked to another account) and said something to the effect "I am not going to help you anymore, step aside". I was incredibly flustered and upset by the whole experience, and I wonder if it was because I am a POC and English is my second language. Given Sephora's history, this would not surprise me. In any event, I left there flustered at the interaction with this Nicki person, and went to the Sephora in Palisades where they were helpful and there was no issue.I caution anyone going to be ready for a lack of customer service and adversarial staff.UPDATE: Sephora replied below and even after I emailed them they provided NO resolution. Just further waste of time which is aggravating. If at all possible, purchase elsewhere or purchase online. Awful customer service both in store and at the corporate level.
