Peter was great. Top notch work, reliable and honest. All you can ask for in a service center/mechanic. We only did tires and alignment, but had Peter check out a few other things and will be back for further work. We've been looking for a great service center/mechanic in the area and it seems like we have found the right place. Highly recommend.

I would give Peter six stars if I could.
My wife and I were in a hurry to replace our car, which had just died. After searching the internet I placed a couple of exploratory phone calls, looking for a used Volvo. Only Peter responded promptly. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional, never pushy. He explained that Dan Martin's does not deal in financing, but refers people to credit unions - this avoids the backroom tricks associated with used car dealerships. After a number of texts and phone calls we arranged to meet the next day to test drive a 2007 Volvo that he had recently polished up and put on the market. As promised, Peter met us at the train station with the car, and I drove us back to his shop a few miles away. The car looked like new, drove like new. Peter provided me with a checklist of the work that had been done to prepare it for sale. The automotive shop was expansive, clean, light and airy with a small group of mechanics at work on a variety of luxury cars. We surprised Peter by saying "we'll take it" along with the need to drive away with it that afternoon. Peter handled the paperwork on the spot as I called my insurer etc. After an hour or two of detail work, we drove off with our "new" old car.
That was 5 weeks ago. We love the car, and the whole buying experience with Peter was exemplary. Could not have been better!

I specifically wanted to buy a used car from a small shop specialist mechanic so that I a) wouldn’t have to endure annoying dealership boolsheet and b) would also get a mechanic out of the deal. incredible decision - this place is the best.

I came here to have my (admittedly old) Saab checked over and brought up to speed. Peter has a good reputation online, and deserves it. He is straightforward, knowledgable and experienced with Saabs- and I feel fortunate to have found him. Highly recommended Saab repair, and if I was in the market for a different car, I would feel comfortable buying one from him as well.

Came across Dan Martin's while searching the usual used car sites. Upon reaching out, Peter was very quick and thorough with his responses. He was open with information and did all he could to help convey honesty and reassurance through the research/buying process. Buying a used car is never easy, one easily skeptical of car quality and dealer honesty, but after going through the process I would vouch for Peter and his shop. I even had my own mechanic inspect it prior to purchasing and he confirmed what Peter said about the quality and lack of any noticeable issues or wear/tear, backed up by a warranty provided personally by Peter. Though Dan Martins auto isn't a traditional dealership with a fancy lobby and receptionists, it felt less skuzzy and more personal than dealing with a dealership. I recommend! (Disclaimer: I have not put many miles on the car yet so I will check in/update if necessary at a later date if anything suspicious pops up)

Bought a older Saab from Dan Martins auto depot. Car was shown in perfect condition and was fully serviced and ready to go. The car was a fair price with no hidden fees. Would highly recommend to anyone. They keep a unique stock of clean, ready to go vehicles

I gotta say, I really dislike having to buy a car and I despise most car dealerships. But this experience was second to none. Peter offered a great vehicle at a price I felt comfortable with. The car had extensive repairs done in their shop and I couldn't be more pleased with it. He made the process quick and easy for me as well. He was very genuine and knowledgeable with absolutely no pressure to buy anything. I was even able to negotiate with him on the price. I highly recommend Dan Martins auto depot to anyone shopping for a dependable used vehicle. Thanks Peter! The legacy wagon keeps me rolling smoothly down the road feeling very safe with my family.

They had listed on cargurus a unique car like what I was looking for without an inflated price. It was pictured and advertised to be low mileage and in great condition.I was worried it was too good to be true, and have heard horror stories, especially in and around NYC. Having never bought a car out of state before, I didn't know what to do and was double concerned.Peter responded promptly and had a great system that allowed me to get in from out of state and test drive the car, being certain it would still be there when I arrived. Peter was honest and straight forward and gave me plenty of time with the car to go over every detail.I bought the car with temporary tags and drove it back to my home state and got it registered there all in the same day. If anything the vehicle and experience turned out to better than advertised. Peter was great and I had nothing to worry about.

Four months ago I bought a 2008 Saab Aero. Approaching 5,000 miles and the car is amazing and trouble free. Peter has answered any questions and offered suggestions about using all of the features in this car and believe me there are many.If you’re looking for an interesting car and don’t have lots of money, look at Peter’s inventory lots of value for your dollar.

I bought a bmw from this guy. Straight off gave me a great vibe teling me how strong the engine and motore is. How everything is in excellent condition. A month into buying the car the car stopped working and no longer is running. Called back and with no sincere apology told me “sorry too bad”. I am unhappy and will never trust this place

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I hate buying cars. They also know that I rarely write reviews. Despite that, my recent purchase from Dan Martin's Auto Depot makes me what to share my experience.Our 1998 V70 served us well for the past 20 years, but had some issues that would prevent it from passing NYS inspection. I decided to look at possible replacements. Initially, I was thinking about picking up a 2-3 year old car, but wasn’t crazy about the current styles.Looking on-line, I happened upon a 2007 V70 at Dan Martin's that looked like it checked all of the boxes. The mileage was low for its age, the condition seemed perfect, it appeared to be well maintained, and the long roof wagon provided lots of room for our two dogs.I don’t make car buying decisions very fast, so I mulled it over for a while before contacting Dan Martin's about its availability (and asking my wife for permission to consider it). Peter promptly replied and sent me a link with loads of pictures that clearly showed the car’s condition. He told me that they had carefully gone over the car and what parts they replaced. The free CarFax showed that the car had been carefully maintained by its previous two owners.The ‘problem’?—I live about 300 miles away from Yonkers, outside Rochester, NY. I toyed with taking the bus or train down to Yonkers to see it and possibly drive it back.Peter was so easy to deal with, that I had confidence to buy the car, without seeing it in person. I wired the money, Peter found a very reasonable shipper to truck it to me, and a few days later, the car was in my driveway. The car was exactly as described, if not better. I feel like I have a new car, at a fraction of the cost.I told Peter, that he made the entire sales process to be as easy as buying something on Amazon. After buying this car, I may not wait another 20 years to buy my next.I highly recommend, without hesitation, Dan Martin's Auto Depot and especially, Peter. For me, it was a welcome change to the car buying experience.
