This bank has been taking a long time waiting for our check to clear. They also never mailed me my card. This has been very frustrating for me.

This bank robbed my elderly mother's life savings of just a few thousand dollars. Over a year later they haven't returned a single dime and they said their "investigation" could take YEARS. Plus they charge me a fee every month for keeping the account open while I try to resolve. I hate this bank.

Citizens is the worst bank I have ever used. To date I spent countless hours trying to get basic banking features to work. The latest example is they declined a Zelle deposit into my business checking account. When I spend 30 min holding for on-line banking support, a lady told me it was "a system glitch" and that I should contact the other party to try it again! She sounded like it was not a big deal and it happens all the time. ??????????I was not a big fan of large banks like BoA or Chase, but Citizens is a joke compared to them.

This is a new bank location that is still under construction. All the other reviews here are actually wrong. They are referring to the Citizens bank located at 2371 Central Park Ave.Again, this bank is still under construction; and is not open for business as of this review. This review was written to be helpful to you, the patron/consumer; and, to also bring relevant information to the attention of the business in focus. I called Citizens because I couldn't log into my account online, turns out my account was placed "under review" with the fraud department, for a reason they couldn't not disclose over the phone due to security reasons. I have to wait for letter in the mail to detail why. Meanwhile my debit card is locked and online access to my account is shut down, but the account is still open and active, for now. But in order to get money I have to go to a branch in person. Very angry and turned off by this as a new customer. Thank goodness I have an account in another bank and only direct deposited a small portion of my paycheck to start off with in this one. If this was my only account I'd be stressed as hell because it's the Labor Day holiday weekend and the beginning of the month so I have to pay rent and other bills. Just opened the account online 2 wks ago to take advantage of the $300 sign up bonus and only two transactions have been made, opening deposit and a direct deposit that hit yesterday. Funny how this all happens right before the qualifying transaction (direct deposit) hits so I would be eligible for bonus...wondering it this was done on purpose to disqualify me so they wouldn't have to pay. I don't even want to bank with Citizens anymore I will definitely not be recommending this bank to anyone I know.

do not engage with this bank for any reason. deceptive, dishonest & incompetent. I too was one of the unfortunate clients from HSBC whose account was given to this bank without our permission. citizens then opened accounts, again without our permission, and charged us for services that HSBC provided for free. it took months to close unauthorized account & to deal with their incompetent employees. this is a flim flam operation that should be avoided at all costs.

After Citizens bought my HSBC branch, I was forced to deal with this 'Bank' for a year before giving up and taking my business to a real bank. Where to begin...anything and everything had a fee attached to it. Every transaction going in or out, getting a check book, etc, etc. costumer service waiting time was 30 min to an 1 hour on average and not helpful. Just an awful experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Their customer service is disgustingly awful. I was an Investors bank customers and ever since the acquisition I could have not be any more disappointed. This was an extremely unorganized transition. I just can't wait to leave this damn bank.

Went here today to deposit a large check. Was told that the teller was on lunch and that I could come back or use the ATM. When I came back the teller was working with customers as quickly and efficiently as possible but the line was almost out the door. No one else at the branch jumped in to help. I get to the front and my pin won't work. I deposited the check and got my receipt but then needed to talk to one of the managers to reset my pin. This man had the nerve to ask me if I knew my pin. Then when I reset it he acted as if he was doing me a favor. No apologies for any inconvenience, nothing. This is my first and last time dealing with this location. Such a joke. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the teller.

I just spent an hour on the phone with five different people at Citizens. I had a mortgage with Investors Bank for over 17 years. Citizens bought Investors and the service level is now in the gutter. It took an hour to create an online account. (I couldn't create it on the website because the system couldn't verify my information.) The system won't let me set up electronic drafts until the January payment is due. I used to have my bank send the payment electronically. The payment could be drafted from my checking account on a Monday and Investors Bank would receive the money either the next business day or the day after that. Citizens won't accept electronic drafts from other banks. (Chase has been mailing checks for the past few payments.) The "managers" at Citizens don't understand the importance of securing personal information. Passwords can't contain any non-alphanumeric characters. You have to use "Abcd1234" not "@Bcd!234" DO NOT GET A MORTGAGE THROUGH CITIZENS!!! (I would say not to have any account with them but don't have any experience with checking or savings accounts with Citizens and I never will.)

I had a great experience with this branch - personable and friendly service I would expect from a small bank. I noticed several negative postings months ago - perhaps things have changed for better with the new Citizens Bank ownership?
