Walked into the store today hoping to get some help with purchasing a rug. The person in the store was helping another couple, which is fine, but never acknowledged me whatsoever, though I was the only other person in the store. After walking around a bit I realized there was another person at the desk. I went up to him and asked for some help. It was obvious he didn't care to help, but he came over and just gave one word responses to my questions and when I asked how much the rug I wanted would be he said, "I don't know, I'm not a sales person, he'll help you when he's done" and walked away. Totally disgusting and he had bad breath I walked out. Not sure who told Allen Carpet they're the only rug store in NY ? Losers.

Went to purchase a particular large area rug today but the manager refused to show it to me, because “I’m gettin a delivery.” I was the only customer in the store. He was rude and curt and not the least bit interested that I wanted to purchase a $$$ area rug.

I thought the staff at Allen Carpet was helpful. Especially the salesman Greg who helped me. He was very knowledgeable about all kinds of floor coverings, because I wasn't sure what I wanted. He took his time with me and I was very happy.

We were referred to Allen Carpet by Halo Carpet Cleaning when we were in the market for our family owned funeral home in Yonkers. Denis came to our facility and guided us in the correct direction to Millken Commercial Carpet. The installers ripped out our old caret and padding And neatly removed it, making it easy for us to load it into the garbage container. The new carpet was installed the same day and has completely changed our facility. Thanks to the whole Allen Carpet staff for an easy and seamless renovation! I posted before, during and after photos for reference.

This has been a long time coming, I purchased a new floor this past summer for my sunroom. I could not be happier with the decision and quality. I also purchased two wall to wall rugs for upstairs bedrooms. Dennis was wonderful, knowledgable and easy going despite me being in the store 3 times taking samples prior to my purchase! The Grays.

Walked in and Gregg was by himself looking at his phone. No mask. Wouldn't let me borrow the samples I needed. Very abrupt and rushed, only showed me one option of carpet. Left the store and went to the competitor down the street, where they sat with me for over an hour and showed me various samples in my price range. Placed an order for over 15K on the spot.

The ordering process was great but the installation company had been a mess they Schedule for installation Saturday 2pm at 3:00 we get a call from the carpet installer saying that his first job took longer than he thought and it going to take a hour for him to get to hour house and his labor would finish until 7 and that he lives an hour away and he couldn't do the job today because he had something to do something on a Saturday night if we could please Reschedule to Monday @ 9am we were being understanding and agreed but when we booked they told us that Saturday was the quickest day that we can get the carpet installed because they next two day they were going to be working upstate and he assured us that he was coming on Monday at 9am to install the carpet it is now Monday and 9:30 rolls by and nothing so we call him and the installer says that he's 30-45mins away because he's running late at 11:00 still no call and he's still not here we call Allen's carpet and speak with the manger they say that we aren't on the schedule for today and we explain what happened they said they were going to figure it out and call us half an hour later and no call back so I call them and ask them what's going on and they say that the Installer was not supposed to reschedule us and to call the installation company and they say that she is trying to squeeze us in today if not we are going to have to reschedule again I explained to her that the room has been completely empty for a week and a half and it very difficult for us to move around the apartment just like I told the installer another hour passes and no word so I call and the same lady says that now the worker that was supposed to come to us just called and got a heat stroke that she is still trying to see when they can come install the carpet it's 3:30 and still no call at this point I am completely upset with the run around that we have been getting I am 8 months pregnant the amount of stress that this has caused is crazy all they keep saying was that he should of done his job and they don't know why he would say he's coming Monday when he can't make schedule for installation it's been a horrible experience update the rescheduled me for Tuesday at 11:45am

Absolutely stunning job. We love the professionalism and flexibility this store had. Dennis was wonderful. He helped us pick out the perfect rug and runner and basement carpet for our home. The installation was amazing. The guys did a perfect job in a room that was a little difficult to carpet. We are so happy with the work they did and it was very reasonably priced. Thank you so much!!!!

Denis at Allen Carpet was a hero. We had a new build house and Denis helped us find the perfect carpets at a great price. The installers arrived on the installation date at the time agreed and the work was done without a hitch. The best part of Allen Carpet is Denis. He is nice, thoughtful, not pushy and made sure the work was supervised from the start to finish.

Came here to cover basement steps that were ruined in a flood. Was able to pick out a durable and affordable carpet in about 20 minutes. It was installed in less than 3 hours the following week. Overall, a totally painless transaction, although I did have to call to schedule the install (they said I would receive a call, but didn't).

I got an okay deal on some okay carpet but they sold my carpet to someone else before installed mine. I called them several times for them to install my carpet and got a response the installers will call me to set up an appointment. No one called me for 3-4 days so I ended up going to the store and demanded someone install my carpet or give me a refund. So I ended up getting better carpet at the same price because of there F UP! I like the carpet they gave me but the time to install took longer than necessary. If your going to get your carpet here make sure they give you a date to install otherwise your in it for a run around!

Great experience from beginning to end! Very happy with the finished product (stair runner). Greg was my salesman. He came and measured then I met him at the store. He showed me things in all price ranges. Great business and would definitely recommend and use again!
