223 Wall St Suite 368, Huntington“Wish we found this place much sooner. We were in process of moving and had a few items we were ready to toss because others wanted new unused items.Helping hands greeted us with open arms and were more than happy to take our donations, including unopened food items, even butter. All items would be going to families in need.We got to help load a truck with other volunteers one day, care packages of baby items, and bags of clothing for children of all ages, clothing for adults of all size. And each bag was labeled to help make distribution easier.Thank-you Helping Hands”
“Tracey is the go-to person when you want to talk about student loans. She and her team gives you different resources on how to consolidate loans. She would come up with a strategy that will be less of a financial burden especially with the current climate of the world and inflation.”
“Thank you so much for helping my son and I get to his appointment! The pilots were absolutely wonderful, the flight was amazing, paid Uber both ways .. if a person needs a medical flight this is the way to go! Till next time .. thank you!”

“great place to hold a party/event. You do have to be a member or I guess know someone who is but it's still very nice and big. The people are also very nice.”

105 Prospect Rd, Centerport“I went to this wonderful camp in the early 1960s. Great experience and fond memories. It was sleep away for several weeks each summer. I went from ages 8 through 11.I believe that it helped me grow up well rounded.”
“I joined a year ago for the pool and I thoroughly enjoy the warm water (which makes it easier to get motivated to swim during the winter months), as well as the super clean locker rooms and showers. But what I love best is how warm and welcoming the staff is -- when I pop in, they know me by name and always take the time to say hello and ask how I'm doing. When I call, they are super helpful. They just seem very attuned to their clients, which has not been my experience at other fitness centers. I don't take advantage of many of their programs, but am impressed by how much they offer, and I also love that they give back to the community through their food pantry, coat drive and other initiatives. Highly recommend!”
“I rarely give anyone 5 stars. The staff was really cool, patient, and more importantly informative. I always hated giving blood but have to regularly now due to high RBC count. It was not busy when I came. They gave me an ice pack, and snacks afterwards. Overall a good experience.”
“I adopted Cerina on Thursday 22 of February. Our first night together was such a comfort for us both, as I had lost my last of 3 dogs I had adopted together several years ago and for Cerina who had been in Little Shelter and another one for almost 4 years. Cerina and I have benefited from the comfort and love we are providing to each other. Little Shelter and the staff have been so dedicated to providing amazing care, kindness, love and support for all the animals, but they have gone above and beyond their capacity to make sure all the animals are well taken care of. It was so apparent as a testimony to making sure all animals are treated with respect, care and dedication.”
“I started interning at Hope for Youth over a year ago. I was amazed at how caring all the employees were and management. They were so supportive of the children and do their best to guide them in the right direction and make good choices. After my internship I got hired and the staff is one big family. I would recommend this agency to anyone who needs support.”
“GSB YMCA offers a wide variety of programs and services all day into the evening, including weekends! As a relatively new member, I appreciate the opportunities available for children, adults and seniors. The facilities are clean and staff have been very friendly and helpful with all of my questions. The YMCA is an experience, not just a gym.”
10AM - 6PM
1900 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport“The employees are beautiful, hard-working folks who know their customers well. The donations are only as good as the donations they receive, so why criticize the selections? Not once have I visited and found a messy or disorganized establishment. These reviews shock me.”

I call periodically to find out what number they are up to and everyone I have had the pleasure to speak with has been nothing but kind, loving and considerate. I am so thankful for this opportunity, this is the life changer my family needs. Thank you so much for giving my family the chance to make it in this world.***UPDATE****I finally got into my house last year. I am so pleased with all the help I have received and will continue to receive from the LICDC. Thank you all and God bless”

1705 E Jericho Turnpike, Huntington“We made a great sofa purchase, along with home accessories, recently at Society of St. Vincent de Paul Long Island's thrift store in Huntington. We fell in love with the sofa's look and comfort -- and the great price. We were so pleased that we've returned again today for an additional sofa purchase. Our sales rep, Michelle, was fantastic.”
