I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this lovely little shop is. It has an eclectic, vintage flare to it. The vowns were absutely stunning and the sizes went a the way up to 22W. The owner took such pride in her work and shared some of the shops history with me. I found some incredibly unique casual wear, that I didn't expect to find there. The sequence cow zip up greeted me when I walked in and I fell in love with an e.bellished lace capped sleeved denim jacket that had my name all over it. It was an amazing shopping experience.

The smell of sun warmed pine trees greets you as you stroll the quaint property owned by Patty the charming and warm proprietress of Helen Morrell Guest Cottages. Patty is super helpful and will make sure all your questions are answered. A cluster of cottages surround a lovely grassy area where you can relax with a book and an iced tea by day and a glass of wine in the evenings. It feels as if you are back in time. Even when its sweltering in the city its cool and pleasant on the mountain. Put away your phone, listen to the birds and the breeze and tune into your self. The lake is beautiful clear and spring fed. Great fishing. Watch the sunset over the lake. Take a walk around the lake. Swim in the lake. Refreshing and delightful. Everything is provided. Just bring your bathing suit and clothes and food. Cook up a lovely meal or BBQ. (Grocery store is very close by as are some fun restaurants if you don't feel like cooking.) Don't forget to drive down to Custard's Last Stand in town for some awesome soft serve! A lovely place for families and would be ideal for an extended family or friend trip because every family could have their own little cottage and everyone would be all together on the property. Check out the ladies dress boutique right on the property! Beautiful gowns and accessories. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Such a unique and peaceful experience We will definitely be back with friends next time! Thanks Patty for a lovely trip to the catskills!

I don't usually take the time to write these reviews, but I would like others to know what this place is like so that they can make an informed decision to stay somewhere else. We stayed for three nights after not being able to find anywhere else to stay due to a concert at Bethel Woods the same weekend. While the owner seemed to be well intentioned, we felt that the prices were much higher than the quality of the accommodations. The cabins were likely to have been lovely in the 1950's but could have used some updating since then. First, the smell of the cottage was overpowering with a musty/mildew smell. We went to the store to get scented candles to try to make a difference with the smell. Next, the beds seemed to be the same age as the cottage and are of very low quality with the springs poking through into our bones and the musty smell rising to our nostrils with each move and turn during the night. Even our lightweight sons could not sleep due to the discomfort of the springs. The decor was cheap and dated. The television had few channels, there was no wifi, and there was no phone. As another reviewer stated, one might not go to the mountains for those things, but, for the price, one would expect some service. While there was no cleaning service during the stay, and we were ok with that, we were charged a daily cleaning fee. By the end of the 3 days, the garbage pail in the kitchen was overflowing. It would have been nice to at least have been provided with some garbage bags so that we could take the garbage out ourselves. The amenities that the owner promotes on the website and the phone were, essentially, misleading. While it was too cool to swim, the waterfront rules, including that there had to be an adult on the shore when anyone was swimming, meant we could not swim. The basketball court was a hoop in a parking lot and small. The motor boat was a rowboat sized boat with a small motor. The lakefront was not visible from the cottages, which are across the street from the owners' house, which blocks the view of the lake. The swimming area is two feet deep and not much more than that square.Overall, the accommodations could have been acceptable, if the prices were reasonable and if they had been advertised for what they are. Oh, and if the smell of mildew were removed, of course. Actually, after three days, the smell wasn't so bad, so maybe the next guests will have a better time of it.My husband told me to just write, ' Forget about this place and keep on looking', but I thought more info would be helpful.

We loved the cabin and a beautiful lake. She has little motor boats we took out on the lake every chance we could. Took a short drive to bethel woods for a concert. We'd recommend to anyone. Would love to go back one day.

Worst phone/customer service! The first time I called was back in April for an April 2017 wedding. The woman who answered the phone didn't really seem to want to be bothered, and told me it was to "Oh, it is way to early, call back in the fall". Didn't really care to hear that - she put a damper in a happy time for me. I call back today, got the same woman on the phone, with the same attitude. So apparently they are not there all the time and you need to make an appointment, once again I was told it was to early, did I know my size because they only carry small sample sizes, and will I be losing weight - really? The best was, well why don't I go look around and try gowns on in other stores and then call back and make an appointment with her so she can order it for me. Yea, I don't think so. I thanked her, really for nothing, and will not be calling back. I am guessing they are flooded with appointments that they could just blow me off. What was supposed to be an exciting experience for me, they made a very bad one. Please look at other options if you want to be treated like the mother of the groom, with excitement and something to look forward to .

This is my first and probably last time staying at this particular propert. We paid Four Seasons prices for what worked out to be a 1980's era cottage located across the street from the lake. (no view of the lake) While the cottage was well maintained it had clearly not been updated in several decades Every wall was covered in wood paneling. The living room was outfitted with mismatched furniture and a sweet console TV. There was a TV antennae on the roof that was big enough to pick up sigmnals from aliens but not powerful enough to broadcast more than a few channels in English. I get that you don't visit the catskills to watch TV but if I am going to pay 5 star prices for a weekend I expect Cable, Internet and phone. None of theses services were offered. There was a small kitchen with an array of mismatched dishware and aging appliances, The bathroom was quite small and the water pressure was substandard. The faucet has been dripping long enough to leave mineral stains in the sink basin. The cottages are not temperature controlled. If it is hot outside, it is hot inside. Neither bedroom is oufittd with a TVUpon arrival guests are asked to sign 2 pages of legalese regarding use of the lake. The owner seemed almost militant about rules and was unfortunately somewhat misguided in her understanding of boating laws. She insists that all boaters including adults must be wearing a vest. (which were not provided) For the record Coast Guard approved cushions are permissible. The property is outfitted with row boats with electric motors that can be used by guests without any additional charge. The basketball rim can not be extended beyond 6 feet which renders it unusable for all but the most junior playersIn general the property is well maintained but the fit and finishes do not align with the price point. The room was not refreshed or serviced at any point during our stay. If you are going to charge NYC pricing in the Catskills you should offer common hotel services
