She explained to me so much about the dogs diet the personality and how to build them up to be the best pets that they can be for you. Top Grade!!! We have been using Elizabeth's service for about 5 years and we value her love and care for our dog, Echo. He is not the easiest dog to train or care for, but with Elizabeth's help and guidance we have a much better and behaved pet. All we have to say to him is " let's go see Elizabeth and your friends" and he's looking for his leash. We recommend her to anyone who needs training or boarding. Thanks again!!

I can’t say enough about Elizabeth, you will never find a better trainer for your animal. Her ways are not like some but she knows what she is doing. I have a Bouvier de Flanders close to 100lbs dog. If she can handle my size dog she can handle anything. Absolutely amazed with her technique and talent.

Elizabeth is top notch. Her skill and expertise along with her general love of dogs is evident in everything she does at her facility. I will be bringing my dogs there as long as she’s in business.

I brought my one year old rescue potcake to Elizabeth and she was incredibly informative and helpful on how to train him. She let him stay overnight as I had health issues and my dog already in 24 hours is obeying more than he was before meeting her.I will come back for more training.Thank you Elizabeth!

Sweet little lady, with a wealth of knowledge. Definitely a straight shooter, who wants to teach you how to be a good dog owner. So I can see how people with their own opinions can be turned off. (Not really sure why they come for help from a dog trainer. Lol)

Infinite platinum stars to Elizabeth Wood's Dog Obedience Group. If your priority is the health, happiness and safety of your dog companion AND you are willing to work to achieve what's best for your pet, you should seriously consider Elizabeth Wood for your dog training and boarding needs. Elizabeth has a wealth of training and practical firsthand experience spanning 50+ years, including early training by world renowned dog trainer William Koehler. To encounter a pack of well mannered, exuberant, gorgeous dogs is a thrill and pure joy. This is the environment that Elizabeth fosters in her home. Dogs are fed a well-balanced raw diet, that has an enormously beneficial, visible difference on their energy level and appearance. They spend most of the day outdoors in a securely fenced large yard, where they run and play together. These dogs are also strictly disciplined by Elizabeth in a manner that mimics the way they interact with one another - using often explosive actions to correct their behavior. Some people find Elizabeth's techniques off-putting. It can be alarming when she shouts, throws a paperback or chain collar at a dog; smacks, pushes or kicks your dog in front of you. All these methods she employs, which are startling but not painful, are utterly beneficial to the animals. Dogs training with Elizabeth can learn to live under the control of their parents, and therefore be protected from their own instincts which may send them running into traffic, chasing other animals, eating dangerous foods, fighting, toileting indoors, barking excessively, chewing your (or others') possessions, etc. People who prefer to only coddle and indulge their dogs, which is a very popular method of pet rearing are likely to find Elizabeth and her methods polarizing. Elizabeth loves Jesus Christ and Donald Trump, and she shares her opinion and advice freely and adamantly. On the flip side, I'm a queer liberal, and a soft-hearted senior dog rescuer. I would not associate with any individual who would harm a dog. This is the common ground where Elizabeth and I meet. I've not met a more genuine, generous, and loving person. At 51 years old, my lifetime of experience with dogs, pales in comparison to Elizabeth's, and I am grateful for all I have learned under her guidance. Also, for the wonderful care she has shown me and my senior dogs who have needed her assistance. Elizabeth Wood is a blessing to dog lovers who want the VERY BEST for their dogs.

If I could I would give this zero stars! We brought our dogs here Two times. First time we met this "business" owner, we were told our dogs were fat and morbidly obese. After talking with her, we figured she was just an over the top dog person who was telling us about all the "wrong" we were doing. Btw our dogs are a medium mixed breed and a pure lab( she didn't believe our dog was a lab) haha..... anyway. Our second time we brought our dogs back, we dropped them off due to my partner who was going to go into labor any day now. I pull up to her house, I said good morning, i was greeted with "your dogs are f****** obese still! This will be the last time I watch the dogs because I don't watch abused animals! You are abusing these dogs. They need raw food!". I told "her we can't afford raw food". Her response was "********** Again baby on the way.... I was texted not even 20 minutes after with the picture of the dog food we give and how it's bad and if we can't afford raw for the dogs how will we afford a child! I'm sorry but who the f*** are you! Then i came to get dogs she was gone over two hours i had to be back after 4. 350 I'm texted when will i be there 4, 4:01 430? This person is extremely unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. Read the reviews they aren't wrong

Spoke to Elizabeth the night before obedience classes for our year old Catahoula. she gave me some advice regarding crate training and offered to do a free lesson which I thought was nice. We made an appointment for the next day to bring the dog. My phone was dead and plugged in when apparently she had tried to get a hold of me to make sure we were still on. I did not get her text and I nor do I get service going down 209 to wurtsboro from my home. We got there on time and when I rang the doorbell I heard her screaming at dogs inside . She answered the door I introduced myself and said I wasn't sure where to go and she started screaming at me about how she tried to call me and I didn't respond to her. I apologized and said my phone was dead so I didn't get her message . she screamed at me some more and said sorry and closed the door on me. I heard her again screaming at the dogs to shut up. I would understand if I was late but we were there on time and there was no reason to be so rude. I read some of the first reviews prior to calling which were positive even though they were about the boarding part. All i could think about was how glad i was that i saw how she was before meeting the dog . When I got back home, my son went on the website and read down more and found a lot of negative reviews. I guess I didn't read far enough nor would I ever recommend her just on the attitude alone.

Best baby sitter for our dog ever… even better than any babysitter for my children. We left our 1 and 1/2 year pomsky. Finding a dog sitter for a dog with behavior problems was a challenge. She had me bring him to evaluate and to be honest the problems with the dog were things we wereDoing! She kept him with her for 10 days not only did she babysit but she worked on his behavior and training. She Sent me photos and messages everyday to let us know how he was doing! He is a much better pet and now he has a place to go have play dates! Win win! He methods works!❣️

Im still not a bot but Im going to add that my dog flinches with any normal movement. She now pees in the house, shes afraid of most movements and human body positioning. That was never a problem before she came to u, u created her fear and incontinence. Thank u so much for abusing my dog to the point of her being afraid of ppl.Nope! Im not a bot, but ur still arrogant, passive aggresive and absuive to the dogs and owners.Ur not licensed, animal Control knows all about u and so do the police. ? I will never call and aquire ur services and no one else should either.Bless ur heartFirst off, ur ignorant, narcissistic, hit the dogs and scream at them as well as the owners. Ur extremely aggressive towards the dogs and owners. I fear for the dogs in ur care. I saw ur passive aggressive Comment on one of ur 1star reviews. No one should use ur service. "Uneducated owner", meanwhile ur abusive to the animals. Wat kind of person hits and screams at the dog? An abusive trainer. There r OBVIOUSLY OTHER MEANS OF TRAINING A DOG. but u decide violence is the answer. I will not me recommending ur services and I will notify ppl of how u treat these dogs. SHAMEFUL!

Elizabeth is straight forward and has great knowledge of dogs. We met 5 days ago when we came to checkout the place to perhaps leave our dog there for a few days, when we go away. Elizabeth made few suggestions on how to correct a particular behavior and diet. It's only been a few days and we already see a huge chage in our dog!!Thank you so much!! So happy we met you!! ?
