This is a christmas favorite shopping experience year after year!. Theres something here for every taste and budget. Lots of treats and special joys! They gift wrap for free...a huge perk! ❤️. Also from thanksgiving to christmas you can see a 10 min dancing light show outside at 7p. Well worth a visit to browse!

I've been going to Canal Towne Emporium since the 1970s. I used to go with my mother who always treated me to the black and red raspberry candies with the nonpareils and to the raspberry and orange jelly candies. I came to the website for two reasons. #1. I wanted to see if CTE would ship some candy to me here in Florida. And #2. My mom just passed away and I'm missing her. I figured if I could get some of that candy, I could enjoy reminiscing about visiting here with my mother. It was a chance to look at beautiful things when we came to Canal Towne Emporium. I spent time with my mom while learning a little history...browsing the store and seeing all the old-fashioned things they had for sale. And, like any kid, it was a chance to eat some delicious penny candy which she let me pick out myself. What could be better on a Sunday afternoon?

Cutest shop unique gift. Beautiful Christmas section open all year. A bit pricey for some items but very unique things. Something for everyone ages newborn to 101. Love to visit

Wow! Truly unique gifts and goods. I was amazed at the inventory of odd trinkets and candies. First time there and it will definitely not be the last. Friendly, outgoing staff. A pleasure to deal with.

If it is not broken don't change it. This was a wonderful environment featuring many unique items great for gift giving and personal use. I have been going for years and always spends a few hundred dollars during the summer to fall season. I never walked out without buying something until yesterday. The place looks like a Homegoods with wall to wall merchandise so busy you don't know where to look first. The new management thinks more is better and that is not true. It was so peaceful going in there before , just meandering around with the soft music in the background. I always purchased something. They no longer have the mild - hot tomato dip sauce I bought for years , not the chips. I am so disappointed that my favorite sore has been made to look like any other store just pushing merchandise but with even higher prices. Next step for this store is Closing in a few years.

This place is large enough to spend at least an hour browsing all their marvelous offerings. They have everything: furniture, food items, crafts, huge clock collection, kitchen items, soaps, clothing, books, wind chimes, candy, toys...literally something for every person. I've purchased many items from here on our trips to the Catskills, from hats and t-shirts, balsaam-scented soap (my favorite), books, and gift items to give our local hosts. I've always been pleased with my purchases, happy with the service and enjoyed just browsing through the entire store. Go, and you will not be disappointed!

As a family, we have been visiting the Canal Towne Emporium for over 30 years. We started a tradition whereby we would take our two daughters to Canal Towne to choose a Christmas ornament. This grew to include our sons-in law and eventually to include our grandchildren. Our trip this year was a little later than usual, December 24, and we were greatly disappointed. It changed. Something was different; selection atmosphere, decorations, etc. This is definitely not the place of years gone by. We will probably give it another try next year thinking that we visited late in the season. But, if it is similar to this year we will probably look for a different source of our Christmas ornaments.

I love this shop! It is a magical shop! Amazing Christmas decorations and beautiful gifts all year round. The children’s toy and book section of the store is my favorite!! I also like to buy candy by the pound there- chocolate raisins!
