Below was my 1 star review. I am changing it to 3 stars because it is unfair for me to judge the whole post office for just a few of their employees. Some of the other employees are super helpful and extremely friendly.
Just a couple things for the few who warranted 1 star:
1. If you are a public facing employee you may want to act like you like people and not scowl at everyone who comes in.
2. If you are a manager, you may not want to bad mouth a past employee to a customer.
3. Unless a customer is disrespectful, act like you care about the their concerns and that you will at least take them into consideration. Or explain why not in a professional/respectful way.

Ugg. I really hate to complain, but I just had the most annoying experience at the Woodstock post office. My mail carrier retired and I now see a marked difference about how my mail is delivered. For many years, large packages used to be dropped on my porch. Now they are just left on 212 near my mailbox which is 30 seconds away from my home. In rain, snow, sleet and even if the package is 40lbs. The mailbox doors are often left open. I am now sometimes getting the wrong mail. That has NEVER happened. So when I went to the post office and asked for the manager (the woman rolled her eyes), the manager of my route said that the previous mailman caused a lot of problems by spoiling us. Ha. Said they will now be leaving packages at the post office that do not fit in the mailbox. He also said he knows that route and the mailboxes don't shut all the way so that's why they were open. Ha again. In all the years, it just so happens that 4 mailboxes in a row don't shut properly on a given day. I couldn't help myself and said maybe he needs to start lifting weights if it's too hard to close them when I could close them with one finger. Yes. Now I'm sounding petty, but how ridiculous. I can even understand if they have to change policy about large packages, but there is no excuse for laziness.

Amazing experience today! I wish I knew the persons name who I spoke to! I will find out! I got notification that they were unable to deliver a package due to no access to the front door. Driveway was clear so I didn’t t understand. I called and the gentleman who answered wasn’t sure what had happened, said he knew our property from delivering prior. I inquired about picking up the package and was told the driver with package would be back too late and they would not be open so I could not pick it up but that the person I was speaking with would drop it off if he was there when the driver returned! He did! He personally dropped off my package! It’s a Saturday so I would have had to wait until Monday afternoon and while it’s not emergent it’s something I’ve been anxiously awaiting and cannot tell you how much I appreciate what he did!!! THANK YOU!

My mailman is the worst he’s rude and lazy , I rarely get my packages because he’s too arrogant to deliver it to my door when it’s extremely important . The worst service I’ve ever had.

Recently changed their delivery policy for packages and instead of delivering packages to the house they leave them on the street no matter rain sleet or snow. UPS and fedex always deliver to the door. Pathetic showing by USPS

The really unpleasant lady retired. The current staff, especially Eric, are friendly and helpful. I never got stuck in a long line, as I always did in the New Paltz Post Office.My local mail delivery person is really great. He's a young man who started about a year ago. I have never had an issue since he began, and I do get lots of packages.

Honestly, it's a post office. They don't have red carpets but if there are edgy/annoying customers, they don't beat them with a stick. If you need stamps, if you need tape, if you simply need to mail a letter: this place delivers. It's their job, after all.

Says it’s going to come one day, comes 2 days later. They’re always late with my packages. It’s super close yet they can’t even get it to me on time. Don’t use USPS.

just dropped a package off and middle aged woman with long hair literally threw it across the room AFTER I told her it was Fragile! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS POST OFFICE and I mail a lot... thankfully I don't live in Woodstock
