Revisited Pegasus after buying some Merrels (which I’m still wearing) here in 2018. Katie was incredible in helping me find some more robust hiking shoes, suggesting a couple of alternatives beyond the sample I pulled off the shelf. And helped me find socks—do you realize how many types of socks there are? Micro, 1/4, run, walk/hike, the mind (and feet) reels at the selection.Ultimately we settled upon a very sturdy and comfortable boots and socks (socks!) combo that will serve me well on the trails, Morton’s neuroma and all. Whatever you might think about Woodstock and its retail stores, it’s worth a visit to Pegasus if you are looking for shoes or boots. Katie and Heather make customer service a priority, they are serious about matching footwear to individual needs and would succeed anywhere.

Came in on a whim, just to look around., I was in from out of town. I struck up a conversation with a really nice woman who works there telling her of my wedge woes. I always buy some $50 pair of wedges to wear with my dresses to work in the spring. I am a teacher so they begin to hurt after an hour on my feet. She was determined to help me find thr right wedges. She helped me try on nearly a dozen pairs of shoes and alas I found one that fit the bill only they were $150 and I don’t usually spend that money on sandals. She convinced me to buy tan. I did, with a little buyer’s remorse thinking she was just another salesperson (albeit a very nice one) trying to make a sale. Well I have now worn them 10 times and I have not felt any pain after 10hours a day on my feet. I will never buy a different pair of tan wedges. They are incredible and I’m so thankful to that salesperson for helping me fix a longterm shoe problem! I appreciated her honestly and her patience in helping me find the right thing!

Friendly and helpful personnel especially Annie. The store was also dog friendly and they were interested in our dog which is always important for dog owners. The store had great displays , was very tidy and clean.Annie was very helpful and a great sales person. This is a great store in a great town,

The best shoe shopping experience ever! Happy and very knowledgeable sales people. I needed new shoes for work. On my feet all day at a retail store. They brought out 8 pairs of shoes. As they opened each box they told me why they thought this shoe might work. I left a happy camper. thank you to Andra, Joey, Sophia and Katie for all your help!

My husband needed new shoes after having his toe broken. Andrea was super helpful and had a lot of patience while he tried on many pairs! It's a great store with good brands and more importantly it's a local business. We will be back!

I bought a pair of Birkenstocks for my daughter with help from Heather. It took well over 30 minutes to find the right size and fit, and she could not have done it without the heroic effort on Heather’s part. We highly recommend this store.
