I have been going here for over 25 years! Jean is so sweet. Yes, you may be followed, big deal. There is high traffic in this small town and many of tthe items in the store are small and can be pocketed. I have brought many of my friends to this store and not one of them ever said they were mistreated. I hope this store stays another 25 years!

Always so kind and pleasant. Some of these reviewers clearly don't know the family like I have known them for many decades. Excellent people and great products.

Great place for gifts, so many beautiful things. Many locally made items to choose from. The owner is very thoughtful with her buying. She strongly supports small companies, US made, female owned companies. I always find something new and love the perfume. Highly recommended!!

Racist Becky!! ---- Era: Racist America + Pandemic -- 1st: I entered the store, (as a woman of color), I was being followed as I browsed the shelves while other white shoppers were greeted warmly. I was being followed like the shop owner hovered over me like I was going to shoplift. 2nd: When I went to pay for an item I read a sign over the register that said, "Shop lifters will be beat to death". (Mind you, people are beaten to death, on the regular here in racist america). After reading this "warning" I went to place the item back on the shelf. And then was told "no no, we will take that back." So I stormed out. 3rd: After my friend called attention to their sign, she was told that she wasn't a good person and was just one of those trying to start "something", & that she (the store clerk) went to "a Black Lives Matter", wtf does that mean. Finally: Don't support this white supremacist business, they pose as hippies but clearly aren't. Pro-tip: Don't fall for the Michelle Obama & Maya Angelou Socks in the store front window as a trap to oppression.

Agree with previous reviewer that the employees here are vibrant -- VIBRANTLY RACIST! My friends and I (2 White, 1 Asian, 1 Latina) were visiting Woodstock from out of town in the midst of the BLM movement and walked into this seemingly cute little shop selling "self-care" goods. Right off the bat, one of the employees starts tailing my Latina friend like a bad FBI agent -- monitoring her every move. By this point, we're all a little annoyed and make moves toward the exit. To our disgust but not surprise, there's a sign by the exit that says "shoplifters will be beaten to death". Going to just say that again "BEATEN TO DEATH". Your eyes do not deceive you. We promptly left the shop after reading that sign, but my friend decided to circle back to calmly discuss this sign with the manager. Long story short, she was chased out of the store after being 1) told that the shop manager was not a racist and "cool with black people", and 2) accused of being an INCOGNITO TRUMP SUPPORTER there to stir up trouble. TLDR: if you are here for self-care or value any sort of care in the slightest, would 11/10 avoid this racist establishment.

I was excited to enter this store, however, was extremely disappointed by the complete LACK of respect that the shop owners demonstrated towards us. As soon as we entered, my friend (a Latina woman) was closely followed around the shop. The group of us promptly decided to leave as we were extraordinarily uncomfortable with the blatant profiling of my friend. As we were leaving, we came across a sign that said "shoplifters will be beaten to death". Given the current climate with the Black Lives Matter movement, we were VERY UPSET by this sign. This comment is inappropriate as black and brown people are disproportionally targeted and violently abused by police for FAR LESS than shoplifting. My friend decided to speak with the store owners about this sign, and to all of our surprise, the owners grew defensive and accused our friend of "trying to start a problem"...... ARE YOU SERIOUS? These owners COULD HAVE taken this as an opportunity to grow as a business and as individuals and instead they decided to insult my friend and run her out of the store. I am completely astounded that I witnessed this. It's unfortunate that these women do not care to improve OR learn ways to actually be actively anti-Racist. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. These women are stuck in the 1800s.

RACIST OWNER ALERT ‼ (Please see all other reviews not written by white women if you'd like confirmation- RACIST, HETERONORMATIVE, DISCRIMINATIVE WOMEN WORKING HERE Went into the shop after seeing some funky socks in the window with Michelle Obama on them. We entered, two white women, an Asian woman, and a Latina woman, and my Latina friend was closely and blatantly followed by Rebecca Turmo (manager) and angsty, racist fellow employee. When preparing to pay, we noticed a sign claiming that "shop lifters will beaten to death". We decided to not follow through with our purchases and left abruptly. I returned 20 minutes later and requested to speak with the manager, Rebecca, to discuss the sign. For context, I'm writing this on 6/13/20, amidst a world of race protests and discussions around racism throughout America. In a calm manner, I said I'd like to discuss the sign by her register, claiming that, although I'm sure it was not ill-intended (trying to stay focused and ignore the fact that her intentions OBVIOUSLY DO NOT MATTER), it was inappropriate given the fact that many people of color are, in fact, beaten to death over similar things and the joke was not funny. Becky here got so damn defensive and told me about how she's never killed a fly and, for all intents and purposes, told me she's met black people before and "she's cool". She yelled at me about how I'm "probably not even a good person" while her little side-kick accused me of being "a Trump support incognito". Excuse me...? Becky really lives up to her name here, huh? RACIST LOSERS- DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SUPREMESIST BS.
