I used to live nearby, and JC Wine & Spirits was by far the best spirits shop in the neighborhood. Now I live further away, and I've learned that they're probably second only to Astor Place Wines in all of NYC.The owner is super friendly, knows his stuff, and is eager to get you something new that you'll enjoy - even if it's not currently on the shelves. Prices are reasonable. There are things here that I've found nowhere else. I hope they're a part of the neighborhood for years to come!

I used to visit this store often. But they refuse the sales saying their card minimum is 10 dollars. I said i come here every time. But they said they never saw me here. Meaning that they would consider using less than 10 dollar for debit card for regulars and not for a new customer. Poor service. No where else there is card minimum.

I had a delivery for a bottle and the bottle came in perfect condition. The lady was also very kind and sweet. I will definitely come and shop again

There was a duplicate transaction that showed up on my husband's online banking statement for the same amount on the same date last week. I went into the JC Wine & Liquor store to inquire about the transaction, a gentleman which I believe is the owner just said to me that their bookkeeping is correct and that it's not a duplicate. I asked for a receipt (which he never initially provided) and he started giving me a plethora of excuses that there is no way that he can obtain a receipt for me from last week. I replied yes he can if he search by the amount, transaction date and the credit card #. Subsequently, he started complaining that it will take him time and that he has to check the cameras. Then I replied to him that it's fine instead of just being so defensive and unhelpful initially. He retorted that credit card transaction sometimes post incorrect transaction on the wrong date. I was just so perturbed of his awful customer service and told him that my husband will no longer give him anymore business. THE CUSTOMERS SHOULD ALWAYS BE ENTITLED TO A RECEIPT!

I bought a bottle from JC via delivery (on doordash) and I love how it arrived with a neat little note. This is the perfect time to support small businesses and the personal touch makes a big difference. They have great prices and a robust selection. The employees and owners were honest and I appreciate them catering to their customers. I'll definitely be returning!

Great and honest customer service. Had a budget of $50 and explained what I was looking for. They sold me an awesome wine that came to $30 instead of trying to up-sell. Quite nice.
