Super creepy place now! Used them occasionally for years w no issues. Saturday I needed a jump and discovered my battery almost four yrs old. With my mechanic closed I headed here. While they check my battery I start reading all the bad recent reviews in the waiting room, yikes. They show me a "receipt" showing battery failed so I let them replace it, not trusting but knowing I was about due for that. After they change it they tell me I also need a new alternator because that now failed - and get this - if I don't approve I won't get any warranty on the battery. Shows me another "receipt" showing battery now good but starting system failed. What?!! He's trying to scare me that if battery dies in a week or month etc I'll be stuck. SO sketchy. Paid and left. My mechanic just confirmed my alternator and starter are both fine. I wish I waited till Monday to give my mechanic the biz but didn't want to risk getting stuck again.

Very rude and disrespectful I was never greated when I came in I waiting 20 min for help when I said something they engorged me like I was not there. After I said something to them and started recording now they want to help and I have to go in the back when they could have just said that from the beginning. After servicing a walk in customer before me never even asked me if I needed help I do not recommend going here if you are a woman and don’t be a black woman they will not even service you.

I was not sure if I needed a new battery or a rebuilt alternator as I wanted to save time before my buddy Mechanic met me at my garage. Thankfully the manager at advance auto parts in queens told me as Long as the battery or alternator is not install or disinstall (is that a word ) I can return either one for refund or credit .Great news it was the battery and a simple job and instead of refund I got a bunch of car accessories totaling almost 200 bucks which was price of alternator, YOU can never have enough antifreeze , motor oil. Flares, replacement belts , bulbs , etc. Overall a good auto parts store will a good inventory of car parts and accessories with workers who know car parts .

The best auto parts store… if you have a humiliation fetish.When I picked up the OBD2 scanner I purchased online, the employee looked me straight in the eye and said, “Just so you know, we don’t take returns on electronics. You’ll have to go through the manufacturer’s warranty if anything goes wrong.”When I got home, I opened the box to find the display covered in scuff marks, and when I powered it on, nothing but a white screen riddled with scan lines.While traveling to Maryland, I stopped by another Advance Auto and told them what happened, then asked if I could exchange the tool for a new one. They happily obliged and even switched the same batteries over from the “defective” unit. Works like a charm, no thanks to this location in Queens.Take your money elsewhere.

Except for my own Bengali brother (who was ok) all the staff were very helpful and genuine. Not just interested in making unnecessary sales nor were they lazy or impatient.Knew better than the mechanic what was needed

I bought a set of floor-mat for my car on April 15 for $19.99+tax and brought it back to the store on April 17 for return. It was intact, box/pack was not open at all. I lost the receipt, but I had the credit card with me that I have used for the purchase. I have logged in to my credit card account and showed the associate the total charges.The person (and elderly person) who was helping me was very non-cooperative and rude. He could not issue a refund, but he said he can issue a store credit, I was okay with it. Then he said he was not able to issue the credit and I have to buy something to adjust. Whereas I paid $19.99+tax for the good, he allow me to buy only $16.99+tax worth of goods. The product was still hanging on their shelf for $19.99 and I have shown him the transaction on my credit card.It was a bitter experience, the store associate was rude. If you are looking for a better customer service, helpful staff, professional service, this is not the place to go. I will never go there again.

If you are an elderly person, STAY AWAY!You WILL certainly be taken advantage of if you don't know what you are doing.My father made a recent visit to this place and was told that for a particular service, he would be receiving $147 refunded back to him. My dad went through with all the protocols and they assured him he would be refunded.My dad is 74 years old and he asked again and again for his promised refund, several times, and he was finally told that he would not be receiving it.This is what they do to the elderly, they pretend and re-assure you that you'll receive your refund, but when the day comes, they find an excuse to keep your money cause they never intended to give it back. Beware of these gimmicks!I suggest you stay away if you want to 'keep' your hard earned income, cause they will certainly give you a run-about. In addition, if you value your elderly, don't send them to this place 'alone'; they will be taken advantage of!
