A filthy and disgusting place, both inside and out.The facility, including the parking lot, looks like a third world country and should be shut down, till this s.it hole is cleaned up from head to to toe.I have lived in this town over 30 years and this federal dump, is the worst it's EVER been! Do something! In the interim, do your postal needs in Central Valley, where its clean, receptive and very professional, you will be extremely happy you did !1 positive thing about the Highland Mills facility is Gerry, our extremely competent mailman. Thanks Gerry !

i came here to pick up a package and the man who works there (seems older) was extremely rude, i never write bad reviews but i was being very kind to him and had just asked him if my package was here, he rolled his eyes at me and was asking me what address when i had known that my packages dont get sent to highland mills because they get sent to central valley (mistake with the person who had shipped my package). i told him my address and since my packages dont get sent to here i had told him the address i thought it would be sent to, he was just treating me like i was stupid and i understand that people may just have a bad day but i had such a great day until i went there.

Typically, I refrain from writing reviews, but I feel compelled to address a specific issue. It would be appreciated if the individual responsible for delivering our packages could exhibit more care and thoughtfulness. Throwing packages on the floor is not an ideal method of delivery. Regrettably, it seems like this might be a widespread concern.

From time to time I received mail addressed for my neighbors. I even received mails and a check addressed for McKenzie motors downtown. A couple times i put the mail that werent mine back in the mailbox so the mail person could see and redeliver, but days passed, new mail piled up and the wrong ones stayed there. I ended up delivering them to the addresses they were meant for. I can only hope others do the same if they got my mails by the post mistake. (Indeed one time a neighbor received my mails and brought to me.) I lived in Rockland cty for a decade before moving here and not once i received a mail not meant for me.

When I lived in HM, I received maybe 25% of the mail ever sent to me. I lived in a building with 4 seperate units, 4 seperate mailboxes that were clearly marked, 4 seperate entries.The lazy slobs who work at this post office crammed everyone's mail into all the boxes, so my mail to #4 could, on any given day, be in box #2,#3 or #1. I ALWAYS had to fish thru my neighbor's mail. The mailmen and woman ONLY dropped packages off to the first unit. My neighbors mistakenly opened packages on their doorstep that should have been delivered to my doorstep many times. It was baffling to me that the post office screwed up every single day for months. They never delivered packages to my clearly-marked door, even when I provided more specific instructions.There is something deeply, deeply wrong with the people who work at the Highland Mills post office. It should just be shut down and the mail should be delivered via Woodbury or another town. The people that work here put in 0 effort and it effects people. None of these people are doing a decent job.
