This review is an update to my previous one. My initial concerns centered around a rude pharmacy technician who had been extremely disrespectful and ultimately mistaken regarding an issue. This update focuses mainly on one of the pharmacists.
I visited the pharmacy recently to get my COVID-19 and flu shots, which I needed for work. I arrived shortly after they opened and overheard two pharmacists (a man with glasses and a woman with a Russian-sounding accent) and a technician discussing how unhappy they were with the store and their careers. The technician sighed subtly when I requested a flu shot and hinted that it might be too early in the day for one. I had realized at that point that the store had just opened, but because I work overnights, I sometimes lose track of the time of day when running errands.
The male pharmacist, though he joined in the conversation, seemed mindful that the store could hear him. I appreciated his effort to maintain professionalism while at the same time validate his coworker’s issues. The technician also kept his comments subtle and polite and ironically, was probably the most professional one. However, the female pharmacist took a very different approach. She loudly complained that the store restroom had given her a UTI, then shouted across the store, advising what I assume was the manager not to use the restroom for the same reason. She continued to voice her dissatisfaction, claiming her work environment was unsafe and that her pay was insufficient. The salary figure she mentioned seemed far from credible and was highly inappropriate to share in a public setting. She used profanity liberally, dropping the f-word numerous times, and audibly sighed when the technician politely reminded her to administer my flu shot.
When she finally brought me into a private room for the shots, her demeanor was clearly resentful. She asked which arm I preferred with a forced tone and left the room with body language that made me feel like an unwelcome inconvenience or a John that hadn’t tipped enough. I understand how challenging it can be to deal with demanding customers in a (not-so) high-stress environment, and I can sympathize with some frustration. However, it’s disconcerting to hear a pharmacist speak so negatively about their workplace and to witness this level of unprofessionalism in front of customers.
On a positive note, kudos to the young Walgreens employee who later went into the restroom, mop, bucket and grit in his possession, and addressed whatever issue was ravaging all these poor women.

Stay away. My prescription was lost by staff. ( seems suspicious because it's a controlled substance). No I have to wait 30 days without my medication. They said it's filled and they can't find it. Come back in a few more days. Been 15 days already.

The store is great. I work next door and go everyday to get ice, the cashier named Jane is highly rude and inappropriate with customers, i have heard her a few times talking to people in a insulting way, today she did it with me. Please check the cameras if there are any. She made me feel insulted for just coming there. If she can’t smile that is okay but at the very least do not disrespect your customers. You’re just a employee. The list of things she said:-1. I asked her about the 5$ discount coupon u had, she got mad because I didn’t read that it was only applicable to cosmetics, she said I don’t care what the other girl told you.2. Then I mentioned don’t be rude , she got more furious. She did her job but aggressively.3. I calmed down and tried to not ruin her day and i said nice things but she said, I don’t worry about the people that don’t matter. What the hell? Does she get her salary through the people? Or what?? Unfortunately she ruined her day and mine in a matter of 2 minutes. Incase i spelled her name wrong, i met with her at 3:38 pm on 08/27/2023.

Worst service ever. No one should go here. Anywhere else is better. Workers avoid doing work!

Went previously to 3 other Walgreens in Queens to get COVID vaccines without any issues. So it left me puzzled why the check-in process at this particular Walgreens was so different & difficult. The person who administered the vaccine was also not as accommodating as the other ones at the other Walgreens. The store itself for buying grocery is ok thoughBottomline is I DO NOT recommend this Walgreens for anything related to the pharmacy department.

It's probably a Covid supply chain issue, but they're recently often out of stock of many items. Also, I prefer CVS for their larger selection of organic/chemical free products. I like their $7 off $25 coupons but wish there were more of the items I need, i.e. cleaning products in stock to purchase. The store is fairly big but empty. The pharmacy staff are friendly and efficient.

No one is ever at the cashier. The workers are rude. They would not accept my fedex drop off because she didn’t think it would fit in the storage box. I asked if she can try and she said “I don’t even know.” How is that an appropriate response?

3 minus. Welcome to the health and beauty factory. Most of them are the same: staffed by kids (except the pharmacy) mediocre inventory management, prices on the high side unless you work their coupons or "rewards" systems. Thanks to consolidation we have lots of the same around the area, masquerading as choice, but none of it worth going out of your way for. At least this one is pretty clean and bright, without the smelly, worn-out carpet.

Five stars for the pharmacist who admistered the vaccine to my husband this afternoon. He was very polite to us. We were coming from another walgreens who messed up with the appointment. Keep up the good work Mr. Pharmacist.
