I went blind in my left eye out of no where back in September 2021. I hated the idea of having it removed but the pain broke me and I gave in almost a year later. The whole ordeal was terrible and during it all I had multiple serious health issues arise and got laid off from work as well. I never thought I'd say this but removing the eye brought a ton of relief. But it also added to the serious depression I fell into over the last year and I became super self conscious. My eye surgeon told me he wouldn't do the type of eye removal that includes a peg which aids in movement but assured me that my prosthetic would move. Enter Andy from M&G. Going into the fitting of my prosthetic, I was adamant that if it didn't move right I didn't want a replica eye that looked obviously fake due to lack of movement. But was assured it was moving and would improve with each fitting. I'm sad to say it didn't, it only got worse and at the last fitting I went out to eat right after, my face was so uncomfortable and and then my eye started bleeding down my face. The corners of the prostectic were ground down so much it was like a dull razor blade. I tried wearing it again the next day using the lubricated eye drops Andy gave me and it fell out of my face while I was brushing my teeth and went right down the drain. I was so excited to stop wearing the eye patch walking into M&G for my prostectic and now I have to wait 5 years before my insurance will cover another one. All I really wanted from my second fitting on at M&G when it came apparent that the prosthetic wasn't close to what I thought it should be in regards to movement, was just a simple design I drew up because I wasn't happy with looking super crossed eyed but was told it was too late to change my mind.....on my first ever prostectic in which I have absolutely no experience in any of it. Andy did offer to make me the second eye for 1000$ which is a great discount but I feel if it's your first eye, and I only saw them a couple times and they want repeat business as well, they'll give you some leeway to change your mind initially. I really appreciate what M&G does for people, but unfortunately I have to wait many years before I can start feeling a little more comfortable in my own skin now. I'm not happy with my experience. Really bummed about this.

Dr. John Brody is absolutely amazing! His knowledge, professionalism, patience and kindness were outstanding! My mom, who is up in age now and very self conscious about her prosthesis, was made to feel very comfortable and relieved during her visit. He was so warming that we didn’t want to leave. Top notch service. It doesn’t get any better than that!
