We brought our mini dachshund here for a follow up apt after getting him from ny breeder in westchester. The reason for a one star is due to the fact that they stated he should get the lepto vaccine to which he had a reaction to. If they were educated on the breed they wouldve known dachshunds typically do not do well with this specific vaccine and most vets who are educated on this breed DO NOT recommend it. Unfortunately we found this out after doing our own research after the fact, but extremely disappointed that these reactions werent discussed beforehand, let alone not knowing this breed specifically probably shouldnt get it OR they shouldve given benadryl beforehand if they did know. You put trust in a vet to look out for your babies and we unfortunately felt they didnt do their job with this situation.

I have used Dakota for 2 of my dogs. I trust them implicitly and they always are over the top professional and earned my respect and trust with precious pets. I strongly recommend them for any pet owners. They know what they are doing, and you will immediately feel it when you go there.

We’re so glad to have found Dakota Veterinary Center. We have two beagles getting on in age. After MANY bad experiences with other vets, the contrast when we visited Dakota was glaring. The support staff and Dr. Cassie are a credit to their profession. I feel we are finally in good hands and will receive the care and attention we need.

I have been going to Dr Gil for my bunnies for over 15 years. I drive over 2 hours bc I will only trust him and Emily with my bunnies. I call them both the Bunny Whisperer. At one point we even put off relocating to Nashville bc I was afraid we wouldn’t find a rabbit savvy vet down there. I love that Dr Alex and Dr Cassidy are also able to treat them for minor issues if Dr Gil is off. The entire staff at Dakota vet is so friendly and caring.

I have a very sweet, but difficult dog when it comes to vet visits. Dr. Gil is absolutely amazing with her. I drive an hour just for her to see him. His compassion and calm nature are just what my anxious girl needs. Thank you Dr. Gil and the entire staff at Dakota Veterinary Center! You are all awesome!

Great Vet Practice, very friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Our dog LOVES Dr. Stranzl (as do we!), she is a natural with animals! Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend you bring your rabbits here staff is always super friendly and very well educated! they give you so many tips and take the time to give you lots of recomendaciones. I’ve had great experiences with both Dr.Stanzione and Dr. Cassidy with both my bunnies. Emily is also always super helpful and is always excited to see my rabbits, and treats them as they were her own! She’s always willing to answer all my questions and is always ready to help. (She’s had to shave my sassy bunny twice and she gladly does with care). They even give you samples of what they recommend so you can try before you purchase! I can tell they all really love their job and are passionate about what they do!

I have brought my rabbit here. There are a lot of pros to Dakota for a rabbit owner. Dr. Stanzione is one of the most experienced rabbit vets in Westchester, and Emily, one of the vet techs, probably knows and cares more about rabbits than 99.99% of vet techs on the planet. I find that the staff is always kind and professional. As someone who has brought my rabbit to several rabbit-savvy vet practices in the area, I find that Dr. Stanzione and Emily are more willing to think outside of the box on creative solutions for your pet, and they also charge a little less (not to say animal care is inexpensive, but I've done some price comparisons of the same services at other practices). The biggest con here is that Dr. Stanzione only works Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and he also sometimes takes weeks off. If he is working, the practice will work hard to squeeze you in if you have an emergency, and I appreciate that, but if he simply isn't working, you could wait many days for a rabbit appointment. For this reason, I've had to sometimes turn to other veterinary practices for my rabbit in emergencies. But whenever possible, bringing my rabbit to Dakota is my first choice.
