He got us into a Jeep Renegade that was clean, comfortable, and fun to drive. We especially appreciated the option to return the fuel on empty…no last-minute gas-station scramble. My wife and I genuinely enjoyed the vehicle and the whole rental experience. We’ll be choosing National again.”
“It's strange that i see a lot of complaints on customer service but my experience for the past 3 months I've been renting is completely different. Gina and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Yes, sometimes the responses could be curt but they always anticipate my needs and questions and always offer alternative solutions if required.
They are also very proactive and i have received calls ahead of time to remind me of drop offs especially during the weekend where i was not aware of timing of business closing hours. This definitely saved me money in penalties.”

“I have 4 old apartment buildings in Westchester County NY. After converting all to gas I needed to remove the oil tanks, but it took me 7 years to get it done. Barrier got rid of a tank in a basement in one location and in the last 2 days they removed 3 underground tanks that had been in the ground for 80 to 100 years. This was in one location on three adjacent houses. Two 550 gallon tanks were removed and one 1000 gallon tank was left in the ground and emptied. At that point they opened the bottom of the tank and soil samples were removed and tested. The inspector observed that there was no soil contamination. These are professional people who have been doing this for a long time. They handled the town inspection process, got the soil samples tested and took away the 2 tanks, filled in the holes and swept up the area. I recommend Barrier without reservation.”

“I have been renting cars now from this location for about a year. Everyone is always friendly very knowledgeable about the company and the car are good never have an issue. I highly recommend this place. If you’re looking for a convenience and good pricing.”
“I used this location after having 2 accidents in a very short time span. (I feel like I need to say no fault of my own ?) I felt the staff were kind and helpful. I dropped my car at an auto shop and they promptly picked me up and brought me to their facility.
The first time the insurance covered everything, the second time the insurance company didn’t inform me I’d have to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed. I thought that was bad business on the part of the insurance company to leave it to the gentleman at the rental car place to have to give a customer that bad news.
Anytime I had a concern or question I was able to call and speak to a human being and issues were taken care of efficiently and quickly (key fob battery, return time question).”

“No issues with vehicles operating as they should. Check in process is the same even if you add your information online. Vehicles at the airport have high mileage. Staff is friendly and usually out pretty fast. No covered parking lot at Westchester so be prepared for the weather.”

“Great experience at HPN and Hertz. Super easy to get the car and get out, and even easier to return it. When we pulled in, there was a guy there named Chris in the parking lot that took care of everything for us and was super nice - great representative for the company! If I ever return to that area I’d go with Hertz again for sure.”

“While a car wasn’t available at my pickup time, I understand that airports are busy. Especially on a September Friday night..hello, wedding season! I waited for under an hour and the car I did get seemed to be an upgrade. Cannot complain! The gentleman lot attendant, outside retrieving the cars, was super helpful and so friendly, I wish I caught his name. Kindness goes a long way with me :) Thank you!”

“I walked in on a busy Monday morning without a reservation, having just dropped my car off around the corner for a repair. They were absolutely slammed; six deep in line and all of their employees running around at full speed.
I was expecting to wait, and i did, but these guys working kept it light. Checking in with guests every few minutes, making sure people knew where they were in the queue and generally moving as fast as their systems would allow. It was like watching a few highly skilled bartenders work a saturday night.
They were very apologetic when their lot didn’t have a car for me, but they told me to hang tight and one was on the way. And it arrived a few minutes later.
Overall, it was a great experience. Their hospitality outpaced the “charm” of their location by a long shot.
Hopefully i don’t need a rental anytime soon, but if i do, they’ll be where i go.”
