Where can I begin! Our family welcomed our first puppy about 4 months ago. I contacted Michelle in the first few weeks Arlo came home with us and she has been an incredibly supportive and active help in our family adapting to our little puppy.From the beginning, even though she was recovering from a knee injury, she was helping us with training, what to do to keep him happy, how to walk him, what to buy, what to feed him, how to crate train, the list goes on and on! Even on vacation, Michelle answered all of my texts and questions about the most minute thing in detail, sending links and photos and even followed up to make sure everything was going well. She set up puppy play dates and even allowed us to borrow items (like a specific leash etc) to see if it would help Arlo.I can’t thank her enough for helping us and am looking forward to continuing to learn from her vast experience and expertise in raising our puppy!

Michelle is a dog whisperer! She has been with our family since our Goldendoodle was a puppy and given us the tools we need to become better dog parents. Our puppy is now 75 lbs strong and Michelle makes handling him look easy. Her expertise and passion for dogs make her a dream to work with.

Michelle is truly a dog whisperer. Michelle has been training our Australian Shepherd since he was a puppy and has had complete command and control from the very beginning. Michelle has helpful tips and tricks that help you become a better dog owner, which in turn makes a better dog! Michelle is reliable and hard working and a master in this field. I would absolutely highly recommend her!

Trust me when I say I have never written a review before but because of Michelle’s dedication to guide dog owners I felt compelled to do so. I found Michelle through google and am so thankful I contacted her first! We were a total wreck with our 2 month old puppy before Michelle. We had no idea what to do. We were in way over our heads. Thankfully we found Michelle! She took the time to educate us, as dog owners, on what we could improve in. On our first training session, we knew we made the right choice. Michelle immediately put us on a very detailed schedule for our puppy. She mentored us every step of the way through our training process and even to this day still checks up on us. She is very generous, kind and knowledgeable. Guiding us with her training using positive reinforcement with our puppy which was very effective. Our puppy is 6 months right now and is potty trained, crate trained, sociable, friendly and most importantly happy and healthy. All thanks to Michelle! I would highly recommend Michelle!

We were absolutely blown away by our experience with Michelle, she is a true expert and master of her craft. Beyond just helping us train our puppy with skills and tricks, she mentored and supported us in navigating health concerns, finding a family dynamic and schedule, and so much more...All of which is a testament to how sensitive, sensible, and profoundly wise she is. Michelle was extremely generous with her knowledge, time and energy; she has a genuine desire to see the dog, and owners, thrive in their situation and does whatever it takes to make sure of that. We've gained far more from our sessions with her than we could have ever anticipated, and are so grateful to have her in our corner for every step of the way.

We found Michelle through referral and we are so glad to have her educate us on training our puppy. It was obvious from the start she had a deep understanding of dogs and the behavior. She prioritized understanding what we expected from our puppy and our likes and dislikes. She went above and beyond in showing us training techniques to encourage desired behaviors and vice versa. It was clear the her first priority was to teach us how to build our relationship with our puppy in a productive way.She went above and beyond any of our expectations!!! Would definitely recommend!!!

I first met Michells some 12 or 13 years ago when she w recommended to me from a neighbor. I didn’t realize that I was getting so much more than I was told. Michelle taught Max my Golden Retriever to be the best dog anyone would want. All her training is done with love and treats. There are no choke chains or kicks in the chest not to jump up. She is so patient with the dogs and always makes them feel that they want to learn.Whatever the situation is Michelle can foil it all. Max was taught to sit before eating until I said “take it”. Sit, lay down, stay - walk away and they stay in place until you give command to come. She takes them to local streets to teach them to walk and not jump on people and to wait on the corner until the light turns and then they can go. Michelle doesn’t just train your dog, she trains you so that you can have the best experience with your loved one. We had the best life with Max up until two years ago when we lost him to cancer. So ten months ago we now have another Golden Retriever Bella and what do you think was the first thing I did when we brought her home? Call Michelle Betram to train Bella. It is so nice to have Michelle back in our family training Bella and retraining us. Bella has a lot of energy but Michelle know just how to deal with her. Michelle is amazing. Michelle has a true love and understanding of animals especially dogs. Michelle doesn’t look at a clock and say ‘we’re done “. Michelle is a special and superb dog trainer. We first met when I was exasperated having been through 2 trainers for my Wheaten Terrier (Kelly). Michelle came highly recommended. She trained Kelly and taught me and my family how to be consistent. After Kelly passed we adopted a puppy. I didn't make any decisions without consulting Michelle. The puppy is now almost 5. He's fabulously trained and he's in love with Michelle. He's happy to live with her when we're away. And if he sees any car that resembles hers when we walk, he tries to follow it!Michelle is lovely. She has many talents besides dog training and pet sitting. I am happy to recommend her!

My pack and I met Michelle over 25 years ago when we moved to Westchester. I was in desperate need to find a reliable dog walker as I traveled a lot. Michelles sweet voice was a winner for Sonya and her unbelievable knowledge on training and care for dogs hooked us. We could depend on Michelle no matter what the weather, what time of day and what our needs were. She is not only professional and bonded, but diligent about her care and love for her fur babies. No ask is too big. We continued working with Michelle with our next 4 rescue huskies and she has never let us down. She loves what she does and it is evident in how the dogs love her! Michelle has a wonderful and very unique connection with dogs. Her enthusiasm and love for them comes across in all of her services. We have been with Michelle for over 12 years and only trust her and her company to train and walk our dogs. Her training is simple, clear and effective and all based on positive reinforcement. Our dog gets so excited when Michelle arrives for her walk and always comes back with a big smile .. and then takes a long nap. Michelle is fantastic! Highly recommended!

I met Michelle 16 years ago when she was training a neighbor's dog. Since then she has trained and walked my Swedish Vallhund on a regular basis. Michelle is the most professional and knowledgable pet professional that I have ever met. She is certified, insured, extremely dependable, attuned to a pet's character and needs, and able to train dogs with a firm hand, while at the same time being kind. Dogs love her . Michelle has been wonderful with our Great Bernese. She is reliable and our pup and her have a great relationship. We have used her both for training and daily walks while we are at work with absolutely no issues. Her and her team are always professional and willing to adapt to your specific needs for your dog.
