“This thrift store is a little gem. Ive been there three times in the last two month with my two cousins and we love it. First of all it is huge! They have clothes for men, women and kids. Modern and vintage and i guarantee that if you have the patience to sift through the clothes you will find some nice labels and useful clothing. It is a thrift store so i am not understanding some of the other comments on this site and I’m wondering if we’re even talking about the same place. Their prices are very good and they have sales all the time. Depending on the color of the ticket, you can get 25% 50% or 75% off the ticket price. I brought home some really nice items had them dry cleaned and are using them. Cousins and I will be back !!!!”
“Lucky Finds Boutique is truly a lucky find!!
I have been shopping and selling there since they opened. Shannon and Sam are two of the nicest people I have ever met. I highly recommend stopping in there and finding a lucky find!”

“I came here when i was cleaning out my mom's closet . the owner- Christine is fantastic- and - what I really appreciate in this industry- she's fair. We got a big check a month after I dropped off a bag of clothes that I didn't have time to deal with. Her store clearly draws a lot of customers (every time i've been there, there's brand new inventory). Also - Christine's staff is terrific, every person I've dealt with is just really nice. Great business!”
“What a special shop! I love going there for all my gifts! I am sure to find something unique and perfect --even for my 19 year old son. You can spend lots of time in here entertained by the variety of objects, including lotions, jewelry, CBD products, crystals, records, books and more! Lisa, Susan and staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a vist to this special and unique shop!”
“I was so excited to make my 1 st purchase at the Designer Exchange. Shari was so patient and incredibly sweet. I asked a lot of questions and looked at several bags I ended up with the first one I absolutely fell in love with. I’m going to love the heck out of it!!! Thank you again for your patience!!!”

462 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont“William is an incredible, upbeat and charismatic manager. you can tell his staff respects and appreciates him. Been to this spot a few times over the years to just drop off; brought family from overseas to do some shopping and they bought wrong sizes. ASked William if I could exchange 4 items 5 months later and he made the exception and was very graceful.”
“Excellent shop with beautiful antique finds. Being new to the area our family decided to make a stop during a rainy Saturday. Looking at the beautiful arrangements of porcelain, figurines, pictures, paintings and antique accessories (necklaces & bracelets) was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. The owner was very pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable about the items offered for sale. We will most certainly return to make some additional purchases in this delightful store.”
“Absolutely loved this thrift shop!!! I purchased a beautiful scarf and a tiny porcelain doll for my daughter (who had been wanting one). My hubby got a coffee table book. There was such a great supply of nice clothes and good prices, and a lot of home stuff as well (very well kept). This is going to be one of my go-to thrift stores from now on!!! The staff was also very friendly!”

194 Front St, Hempstead“I have only one charity, the Salvation Army. They were very helpful when I needed it. I grew up in Brooklyn in the projects. I wanted to travel but I didn't have much money. A friend told me that the Salvation Army is everywhere, so wherever you go, you can spend the night with them. They will feed you dinner, give you a clean bed to sleep on, and breakfast and farewell and Godspeed in the morning. So I went to California and back, and stayed in one of their places every night. In Snyder, Texas, they put me up in the Snyder Hotel, because they didn't have any other place for me. As a result of the treatment I received on my journey, I vowed to pay them back, which I have done and will continue to do. I have read some of the other reviews that were less than kind, and I have run into people of means that are never happy unless they have something, anything, to complain about. While I never abused drugs or alcohol, I have known people that were helped by the Salvation Army, and that's ALL THEY DO. They help people in need, and never ask for anything in return. That is the true meaning of charity. Whenever I donate clothing, it's always in good condition and clean, but even if it's not, they make sure that it is before providing those people who need it. This past Winter, I dropped off over a hundred pounds of clothing, worth many thousands of dollars, and I never ask for receipts. Where is it written that charity requires a tax deduction? I promise to continue to bring them anything I don't need for as long as I draw breath. As for the complainers, shame on you.

“Great place, nice little food court, some arcade games, little flea market, card bazaar.
If you check often you can get some really good deals on the clothes. Some better finds than a lot of the other thrift stores.”
“I love once upon a child! It's great when you have a toddler who zooms through sizes and you need to buy a new size in what feels like every other week. The amount of clothes I get for my toddler for the price cannot be beat. I also love the variety they have. It's also nice to have a place where you can sell your old clothes in return. I have met nothing but friendly staff there who is always willing to help you!”
“Super helpful!! I spoke to Amanda on the phone - I called b/c I was wanting more info on a pair of Gianvito Rossi boots they had (which I was browsing on the website). She was SO nice and helpful, describing the boots and everything! LOVE The Real Real and LOVE that they have boutiques!”
“Maureen is awesome! She went out of her way to make me feel welcome in the store, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They have an excellent collection here, and now I know exactly where to go for anything antique related!”
