Please get this law firm shutdown!!! I just got off the phone with them and they were incredibly rude and shady. First they had no record of me, then they tried to force me to give them my social security number and I said that since they’re suing me they should have my info already and the lady said they don’t and they need it or they would just keep harassing me and calling me 10 plus times a day if I didn’t give it. I told them that their person who tapes the summons to doors tried to open my front door and come in the house and the attorney Andrew Hughs kept laughing at me and telling me I was lying and I’m not. I had to threaten to call the police on him to take me more seriously. I wanted the name and company of the people who attempted to break in my home and he said he wasn’t going to give me that info and to search it online if I cared so much. I tried to explain to him that I wouldn’t be able to pay Capital One the amount I owe because I’ve been unemployed for 2 years now and I have no money coming in and the government won’t give me any benefits so I’m practically living on the street at this point. He said they will continue to ruin my life if I don’t pay but I have no money. I then tried to explain to him that I live 2 hours from the Bronx County Courthouse and that it’s hard for me to get down there to put in my statement with the court and he said that “sounds like a me problem”. I kept asking him to resolve the matter on the phone and he just kept getting nasty with me. I asked him to send me the recording of the call that we had because I would like the court to hear how nasty and unprofessional they do business and he laughed at me again. Please have these people investigated they are so corrupt it’s disgusting.

unethical shysters! They harrass you by phone at least a dozen times a day, then they send less than credible documents, they don't look professional. If they are lawyers I would be shocked. If they contact me again I will be contacting my attorney. Avoid at all costs, they given even debt collectors a bad name.

Well no one likes to deal with attorneys but I felt that this firm was very fair and they were a few ladies I spoke to on the phone that actually went out of their way to help me... This was something that I was not responsible for details but if I had a recommend damn I guess I would but that's just my opinion give them a shot

Credit card company didn't want to set a payment plan, but Malen and Associates were willing to work with me on a plan. Always pleasant when I call in to make my monthly payment. Thank you for doing what capital one wouldn't do!

It's been almost 2 years now still waiting on paperwork from a settlement. Quick to harass people to get paid but won't issue you paperwork and remove bad credit ratings off. Will legally be going after them!

Pkease look them up on google. These scumbags keep serving papers of people who no longer live at certain addresses. They are collectors who essentially buy old debts to take people to court.

This company keeps trying to serve papers to a woman who may or may not have lived at my address several years ago. For some reason they will not update their information that she no longer lives here and has not for some time. Every time we talk I think we have finally come to an understanding, and then I'll get something from them in the mail. Since this lawsuit can't move forward and the debt can not be collected until they locate the actual person in question... this behavior makes no sense.

Agency that has incorrect information and refused to verify date of birth. The person they are looking for has the same name as my father but is a different family member who no longer resides in this country. I can't tell if they're running a scam or they're just uninformed but they need to stop harassing my family over false information.

I've requested a payment history several times and nothing, but if my payment is a day late, I get a threatening letter. Do I need a court date just to get a document from them?

You are a debt collection company that refuses to answer emails and voice mails. I am trying to buy a home and your inability to answer or respond is keeping me from being able to move forward with a mortgage. I have left over ten voicemails in the last two months. I may have been at fault for my credit issues but I am trying to right my wrongs and you guys do not answer. I will follow through with litigation if you continue to hang up on my calls and don't respond to my voicemails. You are keeping me from moving forward with my life.
