It's been a few years since I worked with their team, but I wanted to take a moment here to write a review. Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center, formerly LIAF, is an all-in-one resource for spouses and families as they embark on a journey of coping with their loved one's memory loss. From the moment courage is taken to dial their hotline, you are connected with top-tier professionals for guidance, reassurance, avenues for evaluation and treatment, and respite programs that offer rest to caregivers. In-house programs include early stage, mid-stage, and full day programs for all types of memory loss. Their staff goes above and beyond. Their respite team are true angels.

Took my mom here today. Very friendly caring staff on all levels. Very inviting warm atmosphere. If your unfortunate enough to deal with a person with this disease, thanks to be fortunate we have a gem like this place to bring them. Focus is brain stimulation via activities like art, dancing, socializing etc . ????

I wish there were 10 stars. I cant say enough good things about LIAF. They are the kindest, most fun people in the world. They make every day a great day. I have never met a group of people who love their jobs and love their patients with such heart. From regular staff to volunteers everyone is energetic, caring and kind. Pat does an awesome job with the chorus on Saturdays, Grace is all smiles. The young group who help out always stay on their toes and keep everyone following along with the program. It's an amazing place to feel welcomed if you have a person with alzheimers or dementia. Caregivers can also stay or do a drop off. They offer bus service in certain areas. My mom is always smiling when we leave here. And it's nice to talk to other caregivers who are in the same situation.

Went with my mom, a lot of fun, a lot of laughing, its a good opportunity to forget about alzheimers for a moment and just enjoy the moment. Singing songs, kicking balls, chair exercise. Bring bag lunched. The staff's energy is awesome. They are personally invested in the elderly. You can tell they love the people they care for.

The most good-hearted, sincere and supportive staff. LIAF is truly making innovative strides to improve the quality of life for those living with all forms of dementia.

Very disappointed in the staff very unprofessional everyone is concerned with their paycheck rather than the well being of clients and the blonde curly haired lady that leads the early stage group acts very sexual in front of the old men it is very disturbing she would be hopping around and shaking her butt on multiple occasions it’s very unnecessary and odd.

I can't complement LIAF enough. Their day program is impeccable. They truly benefit diagnosed individuals, support caregivers and provide help any way they can. Their staff is intuitive, welcoming and trustworthy. You can get a few hours each day knowing your loved one is actually in good hands and genuinely enjoying their day.
