Horrible Store!! 2 staff members in store.
One at front checkout counter and one at fabric.
Store is messy, disorganized and cluttered.
Boxes everywhere.
Long lines at checkout with employee and manager that couldn’t care less.
People walking out of store due to long lines and manager leaves checkout unattended and says she’ll be back!
Then returns to have personal conversation with customers instead of expediting the line!

I had to re-write an update of my experience in Jo-Ann's craft Westbury NY store. I just recently needed a certain theme of fabrics. So even though I wasn't very happy with my last experience with Jo-Ann's, I had to shop there to get what I needed. Now in the past this store was always well organized, neat and mostly a pleasant experience to shop in because the store always had everything categorized and organized ever so neatly. But my recent shopping experien was a disappointment. The store was a flaming disaster! There were only two employees in the whole store and it was busy for such a little amount of employees and on a weekend day. All the fabrics were thrown everywhere and mixed in together. Nothing was in order by category. This is the WORST I've EVER seen this store look!!! It was an absolute mess. It was so bad I had to take pictures so that I can post show that I'm not exaggerating. I couldn't find really what I was looking for. I only bought two things that was easy access for me because I did not want to search through all of the unorganized mess. I don't know who is their district manager, but they are not doing their job. Although the lady who cutting fabric was nice. She must have been under so much stress. They need to hire a night crew to straighten up the store and get it back in presentable and shoppable order. I would have spent more money, but just being there was giving me a migraine to look through all of that unorganized train wreck. Jo-Ann's has totally gone downhill.

Place looked like a "bomb" hit it. Was looking for yarn and was very difficult to navigate the aisles. Very surprised. Never saw it look like that.

Ever since I started sewing I have gone to this Joann's. But in the last year or so the store has changed majorly for the worst. All of the staff are incredibly nice and helpful, but the store is obviously understaffed. So the cutting line is always long, and the store itself has a complete lack of organization.
I know the employees are trying their best, and I feel bad leaving a poor review. But the last few times I went there multiple people asked if they were closing, based solely on the appearance and shopping experience of the store. I've shifted to buying fabric and notions online, even though I'd rather see all these things in real life before purchasing. Simply because it's not as stressful as going to this store.

The messiest store I have ever set foot in in my life. Imagine taking a store, shaking it, and putting it back down. Thats this store. It critically needs staff to put it back in order. Not a fun shopping experience.

What a mess. Bolts of fabric thrown everywhere, including the floor. Price printed on lable end 7.99, charged 9.99 and was told sale price is 7.99 thus voiding use of coupon.
What a total disappointment to be walking on and over fabrics.( trip hazard) . It's been going down but this was the worse. So unfortunate.

I walked in on a Sunday morning and couldn’t believe how messy the store was. I’ve never seen a Joann like this in my life. I have no idea if they had what I needed because it was so messy I couldn’t see any of the fabrics without digging through other bolts to get there. There was fabric on the floor, the trims were in piles. I thought they were going out of business.

Store dirty rat dropping on shelves restroom is disgusting. The manager des not speak proper english and was rude.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find the faux leather upholstery that I had been searching for at Joann's. It was the last store that I expected to find it at. I went to that place I originally bought it from a couple of years ago and found that the store no longer existed. Then I drove a distance to an upholstery fabric store that had a large selection but not the right color. On my way home, I called Joann's to see if they had faux leather. I was told that they did and sure enough they had the color I needed. And I thought Joann only had clothing and crafts fabrics!

I was unable to post it before clicking on the star. But this store does not deserve a star ! It used to be a fantastic store, but when we visited yesterday, it was a shock. Half empty shelves, no help on the floor and big cherry on top was the bathroom. Dirty, no toilet paper and piles of garbage on the floor. What a shame ! The commercials show very helpful staff - well, they must be working at another location, not the one on Old country Road in Westbury
