would give zero stars if i could - they cut off a piece of my friends dogs tongue??? how does that even happen? they also didn’t inform her that this occurred. Would love to understand more about how this occurred

I was there with my cavapoo and i was satisfied with his grooming i actually liked it alot although the wait time was 2 hours and ended up being 3 1/2 but besides i recommend this place.

Stellar work. My dog is one year old & was a little anxious going in but the staff was wonderful with him. Clipped his nails, & cleaned his ears. Will definitely return!

I have a Maltese and I am very particular with the results of her hair cuts, well I took a chance with Essence of a dog and I couldn’t be more happier with the outcome of her haircut it is beautiful. This place is highly recommended.

I have been taking my havanese here for years. I like that Jen is the owner and main groomer. My dog doesn't like water, so he is not "happy" going there, but he IS happy to see Jen. He always looks and smells great afterward!

They are amazing at this place! We tried two other groomers closer to where we live, and they didn't do anywhere near as good of a job as they do at Essence of a Dog. The staff are really great at dealing nervous dogs here, and the other places couldn't handle my dog. We drive in from Queens just to get our dog groomed here. She looks super duper cute. We have taken our dog here about 4 times and they always do a fantastic job.
