I have been to dozens of botanicas and have never felt so immediately unwelcome. Me and my partner were literally there for two minutes and walked out. When we came in, one woman was standing atThe end of the aisle just staring and glaring at us. I tried to ignore her but when I turned to the left there was another woman just standing in silence staring at us. They were blocking off the aisles and made us feel like we were gonna steal or something. It sucked because even tho the shop is small they had lots of awesome products. Also they don’t want you touching anything in the store but then put prices at the bottom of the items. So they made it seem like we would have to go to them for any item we were interested in which felt a bit inconvenient. Disappointing to say the least.

They had the incense I needed but there were 3 unfriendly workers who were hawking my wife and son as if we were going to shoplift. They were not courteous in any capacity. My son was looking at the Elegua and she tells me "no lo tocas que ese no es un jugete", even though my wife was alongside my son at all times and we never allow him to touch ornaments in a store of this kind. Was very uncomfortable since whenever we went to the next aisle they would rotate to watch us without attempting the appearance of being discreet. Never again will go here.

One of the better Botanicas I go to on Long Island. They just don't have the fresh herbs for the Spiritual Baths. However every other ingredient can be found here. They have mats, cascarilla, candles, small charms if you're into that, Esu Aye at the door. A kind Santera (Omo Oshun) runs the place. ?? ?⚡??
