Usually every thing we get from here is good and good prices. Tonight we bought a seafood combo , the fish looked and tasted old, the shrimp (3) was so overcooked you couldn't even bite the amd the scallops (3) were very small.it was all the worst we had. Last week we got the fish fry and it was delicious. I was very disappointed.

Market in the Square is offering (6) free food coupons this week. There is a $100.00 minimum to get the items, which is absolutely ridiculous! The Market seems to cater to older folks in my area, which is West Seneca. How many of those people do you think have $100.00 to spend in one visit? I'll bet that's more than their entire monthly food budget for many of them. Even with the Market's elevated food prices, it's going to be pretty hard for the regular Joe to reach that limit. They should be giving away free food to their "loyal" customers with a reasonable minimum purchase. They are the ones shopping there on a regular basis, and the reason the Market stays in business.

I purchased a box of four “gourmet” cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting. They were beyond stale they were like bricks with frosting. It’s obvious that they don’t turn over their bakery items regularly. I definitely won’t buy from the bakery department again.

Very impressed with the store and layout. Came here after 3 other shops looking for fresh pizza dough. They have everything I needed for pizza night. The quality was fresh and bigger dough than I had ever seen. Pretty good for the price. Self check out was quick and easy. They had cute reusable tote bags with the shop's logo (had cute designs) which I had to get-- was my souvenir. Everyone was friendly.

Ok, now I'm not a butcher, but I'd think that this place hires people with some experience cutting steaks. The people I dealt with seemed uninterested in doing a good job. Never have I seen a qualified butcher cut a flat iron steak across the grain of the muscle. A flank iron is cut from the chuck near the shoulder . It's a work muscle and has good texture and a nice beef flavor when it's cut right. These people cut it just wrong and ruined the whole experience of eating a flat iron steak. I bought a flank the same day, which was cut correctly and was quite good . Thank god they didn't screw that up. So I'll never cross the threshold of the West seneca store again. The only one I will trust is the one that was the Budweys on Colvin. They cut them correctly. I only eat meat, so im a bit persnickety .

Prices have skyrocketed in the last few months. Used to have really different items liked baked goods and local brands at affordable prices. After my trip there today it will just be a few, unique item pick up store from now on. I'll get my families staple groceries cheaper at other stores. Also, the staff here really looks miserable and doesn't even acknowledge that you're even there spending money. Used to be SO much better. Guess that is why the parking lot is so empty compared to years past.

I live close to Market in the Square, so it’s convenient to stop by if I need a few items. I would not do all my grocery shopping here because many pantry and fridge staples are quite a bit more expensive than Aldi or Wegmans, but they have great prices on meat and an excellent bakery. For the meat and bakery alone, it’s worth a stop!

Nice little store, limited selection on items due to space. Friendly, helpful staff, except for pharmacy. Nice bakery selection, disappointed there are no butchers any more, only prepackaged meats available. Hard to find assistance in evening. Nice deli, good selection. Nice to go ready made food, served individually, long line on Friday for fish fry. Clean convenient restroom.

Born in Western, NY but raised and live in SWFL. I love this store. From the layout to the selection of goods. They even have a coffee bar. I loved how their deli is setup. I was in and out with some decent capicola in a few minutes. Here in SWFL, that process can take up to a half an hour. The quality of their local goods was also great. Best bakery bread I have had in some time and our Publix down here isn't too bad either but damn do you Western New Yoker's know how to eat... Thanks and see you next year.

Tonight... I also was treated poorly by some young employees.I live a distance from West Seneca and wanted to make a purchase which required refrigeration. I first went to the Deli department and explained that I had quite a trip home and asked if I could have some ice to keep the items cold until I got home. The gentleman told me I would be able to get ice from the pop machine. The machine was out of ice and I asked a young and rather abrupt woman cleaning a pizza machine if there was anymore ice. She said- "give me a second " (I was not sure if that was a yes or no so I waited). She went up to the service desk came back and told me I would have to pay $1.00 for a small quantity of ice. I decided against it and as I was leaving, the young women at the service desk were looking at me and giggling. Apparently, being unprofessional, rude and inconveniencing a customer is something to laugh at. Shame on them all. I will not be going back there. I will give my money to a store with customer service employees who knew how to deliver decent ‐‐ customer service!

A trip to The Market In The Square is a delight for the senses. I love the advantage of a full service grocery store in combination with specialty fresh food departments. The bakery is something to behold, from a huge array of freshly baked breads, to the BEST donuts in the region (apologies to Paula's Donuts), to designer cakes and cookies for your fancy parties. Who will even know that these gorgeous cookies didn't come from a chef's kitchen? Where else can you get a freshly baked pie for $8.99? Their top-notch butcher shop is located next to an European style delicatessen. This is a great place to find BBQ cuts, slabs of ribs and briskets, an endless array of sausages. Whenever we happen to be in this area of West Seneca, we simply must stop here, if only to grab some of the best produce in WNY or a delicious pastry for tonight's dessert. It's worth the drive from anywhere.

Neither location is in my neighborhood, so stopping in when I am near, think about it and have the time, for me is a treat. In my opinion, they have the best baked goods. Their donuts, especially, are outstanding for both quality and variety, and the price! Much of what fills my cart on my occasional visits are their in-store prepared foods. Salads, pierogi, sausage, stuffed hot peppers, chicken wing dip, etc. Pizza crusts always available, and their brand pizza sauce on special for a quick grab. Even better, the small size of the store compared to major markets makes for a quick trip. Love this once in a while treat!

I can't compliment Tim enough for his catering expertise. I used Market in The Square for a home Bridal shower. Full spread. Tim helped with the diet restrictions and provided a delicious, hot meal that everyone loved! More than enough food and well worth the price. I highly recommend for your next event. It allowed me time to enjoy the party and less time cooking.

Great food especially their baked goods. Highly recommend. Very busy because it is Holy Saturday buying for Easter. Going back. I've been a customer for 9+ years.
